I'm 67, but who's counting?   Actually, I think I'm a better video poker player than I was 10 years ago.  I'm much more patient and I don't go on tilt like I used to.  I still love to watch the ladies, but my taste has refined a bit.

Thanks for the update work Phil. My session last night still produced no deuces quads. Over 45k hands now. The losses weren't tiny, but at least with the Phil method, I kept them down somewhat. I only caught 1 wild royal as well. In desperation, I defaulted to Double Down stud deuces wild, but still using the Phil method. The first hand dealt 3 deuces and a 3. When I doubled, I missed the deuces, but caught the 5 of a kind. Unfortunately, I wasn't playing Bonus Deuces so it was only a fifteen for one pay times 2. It was at the single coin level as well. Nothing much hit after that. I have never run these horrible Royalless and quad deucesless streaks at the same time. Kind of incredible actually. 50k hands for one and almost 300k hands for the other. If that would keep up for an entire year, that would translate to somewhere between a 50k and 70k deficit. Nobody I know can weather a streak like that and I certainly can't. If it doesn't break by year end, single coin penny slot here I come.

Bad streaks are a pita. Right now I've gone 244 fails at drawing to 4rf. That is partially responsible for only hitting 2 rfs in my last half million hands.

2rfs in 500,000 hands? That seems impossible? Do you question the machines on this issue?

Unfortunately, almost nothing is impossible in vp. Earlier in the year, I went well over 500k hands without a Royal. Caught a few roughly on schedule, now back to horrible again. Nearly 300k. That is all in this calendar year. I am right on track again to play 1 million hands this year since we have only a month to go. Next year will be much different on how I play. Much much less and lower denominations. One more horrible stat. While I hit 2 dealt Royals in 2001 on the same machine on a Double Down Stud game, It has now been well over 8m hands without one. Should have had a dozen more by now. Even though I am in a horrible slump on no deuces quads as well, In the last 10 years, they are right on schedule. I think I have hit aces quads about 30 percent more than average in that time period, but most all of those hits were on a job game.

I'm not sure it matters, but I quit changing games because I kept getting quad aces in deuces wild and quad deuces in Jacks.  If you want to see quad aces with a kicker, just play deuces for awhile.

Since each draw at that RF is an independent event, not based on anything that has happened previously, it is certainly possible. In fact, you may go YOUR ENTIRE LIFE, and never get an RF.

Nope, I've seen other players hit many rfs. One player had 4 in one weekend on the very same machines. Also, I've been playing in a different casino for the last 80,000 hands when the the machines I played were removed. Don't feel too sorry for me. I made money every year.

You tend to notice the hands that would be a big winner in another game. Overall, the hit ratio should be the same based on the number of hands played.

I made money every year.Ok, let me first say that, in all honesty, I"D REALLY LIKE TO BELIEVE THIS.......I am happy when ANY player wins (but of course, MOST happy if I happen to win.)    But EVERY YEAR seems exceptionally lucky....Define the scope and extent of your yearly profitable play, and how you calculate profit (i.e. what gets included in the "plus" column and what gets included in the "minus" column).   How often do you play, what levels, etc.    I'm seriously (and respectfully) asking......you dont have to divulge any "Secrets" (if you have any) but I am sure I am not the only person who is curious about this claim you've made a number of times now on this site.......If you want to say that you are simply a Bob Dancer clone, then so be it, I can accept that  as the end of the story but I've never read where you follow his way of doing things (and calculating profit) in any previous posts.
