Hey gang.
The other day I was scouting a local casino that I never play at and noticed a Double Double Bonus Poker Plus machine with a 9/6 playtable. Looks like the game is the same as regular 9/6 DDB, but quad 5-k with an ace pays 400 instead of 250. Because of that, the payback is boosted from 98.98% to 99.44%. For quarters, this game seems pretty sporty.
Does anyone play (or even see) this game?
Are there strategy adjustments for the extra + this game pays? I got my 9/6 strategy down pretty good and was thinking of giving this game a go.

I doubt there are any strategy differences. The only question would be whether to hold an ace with 3 5-Ks. Since this would reduce the number of 4ofk by 50% while gaining less than double the credits, it would be a net loss.

Technically there is a different strategy because hand probabilities of all hand classes are different, but JB's strategy calculator on wizard of odds doesn't cover the game unfortunately. Are any of the strategy changes significant to really care about? Unlikely.

Well, I gave it a shot with $300 in my pocket. Playing quarters, the first hundo was almost gone then quad 4s hit. Switched to .50 and that first hundo was soon gone. Second hundo, and boom, 4 aces. Then 4 aces again! Switched back to quarters and caught 4 queens. Played a while longer and keft up $440.
Funny thing, all 4 quads came via holding only a pair. Must be how the new style machines are programmed to hit. Not having a players card musta helped too
