Nickel and dime multi-hand games with decent paytables? Specialty games like MS, STP, QQ, etc. all okay but not necessary.

My wife and I like to play video poker at the Station Casinos. There are many locations around the Las Yegas area. We normally book a room at Palace Station. You can play full pay double bonus, ducees wild and others for dimes at single hand machines. There are also many multi hand games in the small denominations that have good payouts. They have all the latest games too. Pull up Station Casinos on line.......they all have great video poker choices!

5c and 10c multiline games with decent paytables:

Cosmopolitan - 10c 100 play 8/5 BP 9/7 DB and 9/6 DDB

Cosmopolitan - 1c 100 play 98.91% Deuces Wild

Ellis Island - 5c and 10c 3/5 play Quick Quads 8/5 BP and 9/7 DB

Ellis Island - 5c and 10c 3/5/10 play Quick Quads 9/6 JoB and 9/6 DDB

Orleans - 5c 3 play progressive 9/7 DB

Palms - 1c and 2c 50 play 9/6 JoB

South Point - 5c 50 play 9/6 JoB and 8/5 BP and 9/7 DB

South Point - 5c 100 play 8/5 BP and 9/7 DB

I got all of the above from vpFREE2.com which has more details such as locations within each casino.

P.S. There are many 5c, 10c multiline games with 7/5 BP 98.01% but the ones above have much better paytables.

They have a lot of choices --- but generally speaking the pay schedules at Station Casinos suck --- especially for nickels and dimes. One of the requests in the original post was for decent pay schedules.  If you play their best games exclusively, look to get no-mailed. They have no-mailed more players in greater Vegas than any other casino --- although it appears Boyd is trying to catch up.

Much appreciated for the heads up on the Station casinos. I was looking to explore the Stations on a future Vegas trip as the Boarding Pass players club program benefits sounded interesting, heard lots of good things about Red Rock here, and it is a place that recently joined the myVEGAS slots/blackjack games.

Upon seeing the post, I did find many many posts relating to no-mailed posts regarding Station casinos on the VPFree forums. I was going to play on the up to the 99.8% machines if I were to go, but that is a candidate for no mail as well as those who are big winners. I also saw Jean Scott's blog entry with regards to the Station casinos as well.

It would be vital to get free room offers as a out-of-town player like me even with little free slot play. I cannot earn enough myVEGAS loyalty credits to get free rooms all the time if I were to be no mailed for playing 9/6 Jacks or Better.

Probably I will divert my plans to the South Point (not anytime soon) rather than the Stations, at least they will offer free rooms just as long as you do not only play on 2x point days (also read that on the VPFree forums).

For my wife and I, the comps offered by Red Rock and Green Valley Ranch are worth a lot more than those from CET, etc. in Vegas. We do not live in Vegas and do not go there that frequently. We went twice in 2013 and again 17 months later this past New Years weekend. Each trip was by car (normally a 5-6 hour drive), with the longest stay 4 nights. We stayed at Rod Rock twice and GVR once. The rooms we were given were large (over 500 sq ft), well furnished, we nice views -- equivalent to the room we had previously paid over $100 a night at Venetian and far superior to the spartan room we were comped at Paris a number of years ago. Our New Year's offer included a New Year's eve party. A past offer included a buy-in for a bingo tournament. We continue to receive offers for comped rooms, slot/bingo and other tournament entries. Like CET, points expire within 6 months and what good is free play if you make infrequent trips. They don't accumulate.

We are not big time players by any means. We have basically played single line, $.25 DDB and TDB. Occasionally, we try nickle triple play. I might add, that we do not play the fullpay VP machines, Bob Dancer mentioned frequently as we have never done well on them and prefer the single play progressives (we got points that we used to pay for food when we ate-in. Unfortunately, we have not won monetarily during our stays so I don't know what would happen if we came out significantly ahead. Given our level of play, I highly doubt we would ever be big winners or losers for that matter. We also play bingo which is not available at CET Vegas (or Laughlin) properties.

Having said this, if you are a high stakes player (7star CET, NOIR MGM), live in Vegas, go there frequently, are too far away to drive, are offered airline tickets, don't want to rent a car (RR & GVR are miles from the Strip and downtown), etc. then you may want to stay elsewhere. Depends upon what's worth more to you.

Thanks Bill for sharing your input with Red Rock/Green Valley Ranch. The hotel rooms and restaurants look good from the pictures I see and as you've described. The quality of life there might be worth playing short pay games.

I was just looking at alternatives in the event I am not able to do 100K coin in every 6 months at my local casino to retain the higher than basic tier. I do not frequently visit Vegas as I did in the past due to gambling self-control issues, but I know that is where you can find good games for 25c/50c denomiations. I was looking for places with decent bounceback to boot, VP opportunities can change, so no point in exploring it if I were to abandon playing at the local casino.

I am not a big time player, more like a recreational player that tries to play perfectly as possible. Definitely big time players at MGM/CET get well beyond what everyone else gets.

Thus far I've enjoyed what the Palms has to offer, the Play for Prizes and Play for Buffet. I got the highest new member introductory prize and also used a free play coupon from the American Casino Guide, thus I was probably no-mailed though I am offered 15% off rate from the club membership.
