These type of news stories by themselves should keep anyone from taking Chris Christie seriously if he indeed decides to make a run for the Rep. nomination for POTUS.

Very depressing article. I see no easy fix for A/C if it is even fixable at all. As long as we continue to have over 50% of the population not paying Federal income tax or state for that matter, this country is going to continue to polarize just like it is doing now. Super rich, super poor, and the continually shrinking so called middle class. As far as casinos go, I see them continuing to rely on most of their business from folks who cannot afford to gamble in the first place. I see that more and more in Ct. I have it from a very reliable source that most of the so called whales or even quasi whales are gone from the Ct. casinos and anyone can see how their promotions are geared to suck in the locals or those in a reasonable commuting distance. Also seniors have become a huge part of their business. Even most of our posters are either senoirs or fairly close to being seniors.

These type of news stories by themselves should keep anyone from taking Chris Christie seriously if he indeed decides to make a run for the Rep. nomination for POTUS.I agree 100%, and I actually made a similar statement observation nearly 2 years ago in a serperate post in a different thread.....and was severely criticized at the time by several other posters who clearly were fans of the portly politician from Trenton, New Jersey who fancies himself the next Repug-lick-can't nominee for President.   Going back four years prior, I clearly and repeatedly (with different takes and tacts) sounded the alarm about WHERE AC was heading, but all anyone wanted to say in response to all the points I made was "WE DONT WANT TO HEAR IT ANYMORE DABURGLAR!   YOU ARE "TRASHING" AC, blah blah blah....."You See chatty, the problem with pointing out problems in specific areas of concern, or specific topics in general, is that MOST people cannot (or will not) face reality......they HATE it when people confront them with irrefutable evidence that things are heading for disaster, either because it is too terrible or complex to understand, or they simply resent it when you  point something out that they know to be true but it conflicts with what they have been lead to believe or perceive......it is also known as COGNITIVE DISSONANCEAnyway, I'd love to hear from all the critics who lashed out at me for predicting this mess

I hate to have to say it being about as far to the right as the needle will go, but I don't trust Christie as far as I can throw him and that isn't very far even with his new and " improved " look. His constant teacher bashing is just one example. Maybe he should be married to one like me who is so dedicated that she easily spends over 100 hours a week on job related things, as well as a good part of summer and other vacations at the school working for no extra compensation. I could go on and on, but why bore the vp fans on this. If he were to get the nomination though, it would be the first time in my life that I would vote for either a write in candidate or some other 3rd party.
