I'll chime in that I go to Reno a few times a year, stay at Harrah's but generally play at Atlantis.  In the "cave" with the 100 play VP machines.  Haven't been terribly lucky (or unlucky) but the pay tables are better than Harrah's (on flushes and full houses).  And the shelled shrimp and spinach salad at the buffet are great!

We are Reno bound later in March. 18 months ago, I could do no wrong and left with a handful of W2G's. I fear Sienna and Eldorado (DDB $1 awaks including one $3200) and Harrahs (quad deuces) will retaliate and get back my winnings. I am planning to play DDB, deuces, DB, $ .50-1.00, single to 10 play and will look for STP among others. Could not find good pay table for deuces then. Open to suggestions and appreciate any advice! (Stay home is not an option!)

I don't play downtown very often, but did well at ElDorado last October. I personally like the Atlantis as they are in stiff competition with the Peppermill and now offer a bank of 100% pay back vp machines including one eyed jacks which I can't seem to lose at. Good luck and let us know how much you win!

I've been told a few OEJs have shown up in Reno at a couple of places. Which paytable and denoms does the Atlantis have?

OEJs have been nice to me for the last year or so as well. However, I've played them for 12 years now and they can be beasts just like the rest of the VP games (just today I was down 1800 credits  on 'em).

Now, if we could only get them here at vp.com ...... hint, hint.

log on:  one eyed jacks video poker and scan the many offerings, including lower right Planetfungames.com, free on line games. YOU can sign up and report back to us if they in fact offer one eyed jacks practice.

I have been to Reno a few times.  In my limited experience I have stayed at Atlantis and Silver Legasy.  My Aunt and Uncle are locals and swear by the Peppermill.  I went and was not that impressed.  But, this was before I was too knowledgable and concerned about schedules.  Of course, losing did not help my opinion either.  I did like the VP at Atlantis.  They had plenty of DDB.  I won some too.  Hope to go back this year.  I will post more then...

Blue25: Reno bound soon. I will return to Eldorado and Siena asap to play DDB $1 as I could do no wrong there on last trip! Nancy J, local, recommends Atlantis, so I will play there. Could not find good pay table for deuces wild anywhere I checked. HE just rented car through ADVANTAGE at SUPER on-line rate and that rate would have doubled on the day before we fly there. 'Plan to drive around beautiful Lake Tahoe, return to historic, touristy Virginia City and drive to Reno's three outlying casinos. There are twelve casinos in Reno and nine are clustered within walking distance. Over 20 more casinos in that general area including Tahoe, Sparks, Stateline. Because we are addicted to popcorn, we will visit Fitzgeralds self serve corner popcorn station and play there, too. Yesterday, MGM Detroit helped fund my trip with AWAK and quad Atree for hand pay W2G, on 5 play DDB, when I saved three aces. Beautiful Easter to all!

Overall in the Reno, Sparks, Carson City and Tahoe area there are a lot more than 12 casinos.
