Re: Will AC make a comeback
Interesting read. So Taj is staying open on a pending crap shoot judicial decision. It was pretty empty on Sunday. Great for watching TV in peace. Terrible for long term viability. It was the same solitary feeling I felt at Showboat in its final year. I didn't dare play VP, having learned that the slow casino machine pattern is not player friendly. Caesars and Bally's were more crowded, mostly a function of location. But CET financial numbers are too dire to expect both to stay open for much longer.

I had posted on another thread some time ago that I was there one Friday afternoon when a woman who I see there all the time hit 2 4K royals at the Borg within an hour of each other. Hoping for some of that lightning before the end of the year. Down about 5k so far for 2015.

That's right. Talk about TGIF. I even asked if you had any regrets about machine selection, Car. I'm hoping for the same lightning. My situation is much less dire, about even at the venue. Do they send players an annual profit/loss statement like CET?

You can get a win/loss statement on line from them.

I would be very unhappy if the TAJ folds......one huge reason behind AC's spiral is the UNION (local 54) and how it has acted like a cement life preserver during all the economic turmoil of the past decade......I have never seen a more incompetent and corrupt union that was not full of teamsters or "wise guys"....That being said, it is truly a crap shoot (50-50) right now how the court(s) will rule on the Health Benefits and pension BS from 2014 that the company STILL has hanging over its head.....Regarding Steve Wynn and AC, the PRIMARY reason he bailed out in the early 1980s was actually the "Climate of Political corruption and history of graft" that AC is known (i.e. INFAMOUS) for......seriously, its true. In a sense, it is true that "Government rules and regulations" were the reason/problem for WYNN to just up and leave, but not in the sense things were "OVERREGULATED" in 1982-83....rather, the rules and regulations were selectively and inconsistently enforced/not enforced, applied/not applied, and changed/not changed to such a degree and to such an extent that a visionary like Steve Wynn was unable to predict where and when and what were the best things to do with his business, so he just left and went to the (at the time) equally corrupt and wild VEGAS market...but shortly after arrival in the early to mids 80s, Wynn latched on and surfed (and generated) the huge tidal wave of growth that soon hit Vegas AFTER the Mafia was thorughly rooted out and other big name corporations began investing in VEGAS for the LONG HAUL.

Neutral day in AC. I won $40 at Bally's. Unfortunately, I entered Borgata with $60 and lost $43 in ninety minutes. My quad was one coin, as i did not detect a win pattern and was focused on survival. I should have had double the bankroll.
