Headed up for punishment or revenge in a little over 2wks; Diamond member with less than $100 in free play so far. Had thought about going over to Murphy but doubt I will do it given the posts I have seen

We're heading to Cherokee next Tuesday.  Will probably stop by Murphy to see if it's improved.  We're not expecting much, but it's better than this Florida heat!!

Just got back from a VP road trip to Cherokee. We stopped by Murphy to see if it got any better since they opened. The place is a metal barn with slots machines in it. Not very appealing and it's noisy and low class. The VP odds are the worst in the country. They are going for the Beau Rivage worst VP award and they are winning!

We got out of there fast and spent two days in Cherokee. This is a nice casino, but they put you through some trials if you are a VP player. Most of the VP in Cherokee is unplayable, but there is a small group of machines next to the escalators with better odds. 98.9% Deuces Wild is available from 50 cents and up. These 6-8 machines are all in such bad repair it's sickening. All the buttons stick, so you have to bang your fingers on the screen. I saw one $4,000 royal and one $2,000 quad deuce while I was there. We hit four $500 quad deuces and made a little money. Nice trip and we would go back more if they hired a maintenance man... What's with that anyway?

there is no good reason for Cherokee's upkeep on VP machines to be so bad. I have been reporting on this for years. other than that, they run a decent casino. and, as I have said many times, one thing you do see, are winners.

What kinds of different VP games do they have? Meaning Multi-Strike, Ultimate X, STP, etc.? Last time I was there (a long long time ago) it was all standard single line and 3/5-play games with a few progressives.

Just got back from Cherokee.....worst VP trip I have ever had Friday and Saturday....seemed to loosen up a little Sunday morning but had to leave....only a couple of 4 of a kinds one was four 4's with a 3 kicker. Think I am going to start playing Sundays and weekdays for a while.

Went back to Cherokee this weekend, (Fri, Sat, Sun). Rode over to Murphy and hit 1K on DDB; went back to Cherokee and hit 2K on Sunday. I'm almost convinced Sunday is the best day for playing at Cherokee
