Cherokee only Casino

Post by ecxpa »

Only casino I get to play is Cherokee in NC unless I take a cruise. They are opening up another one in NC still owned by the Cherokee nation. Read a lot of horror stories about this casino but is it really as bad as the reviews......is a trip to Miss or Fla worth the trip.

i was just at cherokee and have made many posts about the casino. they do have many malfuncting VP machines, but i have complimented their employees many times. i have also noted that one does see winners at cherokee, something that may not be occuring as much in tunica,ms. i/m/o, their buffet is better than most and the rooms are always clean. overall, i would rate cherokee better than most casinos i have played. better than AC, as far as gaming, has been my experience. not an expert on FLORIDA casinos, but have played tampa about 6 times and hollywood once. tampa is a large casino, nice hotel, wonderful buffet with the best oysters i have ever had. lots of folks playing, and i also see winners there. i will definitely go there again. hollywood has one of the nicest hotels you will go to, but my sole trip, they had limited VP machines. may have more now, do not know. i would avoid cruise gambling. hope that helps, good luck.

good luck, just got back from one night trip. if playing DDB and you believe in the long term odds, they do 8/5,7/5 and 6/5 machines.

Oysters, huh? They are good eating? I see people slurping them up by the plateful
I tried one, not for me. Tried another with the hot sauce - slight improvement.

Must be an aquired taste

I am not an oyster guy either.  Something goes to my brain and says "you do not like this" before I even taste it.
