New game: Super Hand Poker
Super Hand Poker
Super Hand Poker is a new twist on Triple Play Poker where you are
dealt 3 independent hands. Any winning dealt hands are paid, and then

The concept is OK, but this game plays much too slowly.

I just played it for the first time in the weekly and agree. However, I noticed that if you mute the sound within the game it plays faster.

Thanks! As smart as I am, I didn't think of doing that.

Seems as if someone's been hearing all those beefs here about dry streaks...
In the universe of VP games with juiced variance, this is actually one I might play. A quick back of the envelope shows an additional .16+ EV on JB 6/5 and .14+ on TDB from the dealt hand payoffs. Haven't started figgerin' overall EV which would take some complicated probability calculations around starting hand frequencies...someone somewhere has the answer...

Yeah, I'm not bothering with the math here. It's going to be pretty difficult I think. Definitely not going to think about it seriously unless I got paid.
But I will also likely give this a quick try in the casino. I think the concept is a really, really good one. Probably the best one since "Hot Roll Poker", which is actually gaining ground. What's interesting is only Deuces and TDB have paytables you would expect. Every other one looks crappy. When the trips pay 15, the true cost of the gimmick is obviously less than double the bet...
But as for the contest, I quit just as I got 2200 points for a contest entry. It runs like garbage, especially if you're still dealing with ads.

You also can on "Dream Card" too, which sadly was a good thing because "Dream Card" does have a couple of bugs in the actual casino versions in choosing the Dream Card.
From the ~75 hands I played, the "Super Hand" looked to be chosen correctly. I also don't mind the sound, but this thread told me no sound ran faster...meh.

Though Hot Roll and Good Times Pay have the same average 2x payout, I think people are more thrilled about the possibly to get 7x multiplier more often when it triggers. I do not casino hop to gauge popularity of the games, I stick to one place to try to earn comps for future visits and settled the Gold Coast for now (I saw more people on Barnyard Poker than Hot Roll). I ditched mLife and Total Rewards in favor of B Connected.
The game did run noticeably faster once I muted the sounds. To hear sound effects for the common 3 of a Kind or better does slow down the pace. Some reason I want to play fast on a computer but slow at the casino floor.

This last Vegas trip, I saw no one playing Barnyard in multiple casinos. But I see people playing Hot Roll more consistently. At the Blue Chip in Indiana this week, the two units were fairly occupied, and I gave a ~$40 donation at nickel 9/5 DDB.

I couldn't agree more. I couldn't even get through one session; maybe this contest session length should be shortened, too.
