The wife and I will be in Phoenix on a golf excursion in mid-November. We are Harrah's players and were going to go on the Vegas or Laughlin after our golf. However, I have excellent offers for Harrah's Ak-Chin (3 free nights + $100 credit + $100 food credit) and have considered playing there instead.
Has anyone stayed there before and could give a good report about the casino and hotel? I've checked VP Free and it looks like the only good games are at the $1 and up which is fine with us, we just don't want to end up miles from anywhere with no nearby options.
Any input is appreciated.

Hi,
I've played at Harrah's AK-Chin for years..its pretty far out there, but the town around it has grown alot. Usually when I stay there I don't go out and about, I just stay in the casino. However, if your looking for a little variety stay at Harrah's Laughlin. There's much more to do there and the casino is all redone beautifully. Plus, there's other casinos that you can take the shuttle bus to and if you do go to Laughlin, don't miss Friday Night Buffet at the Colorado Belle. It's the best seafood buffet in town and it's only 11.99 or 14.99, I can't remember. It's worth every penny!!Let me know what you decide to do.

Thanks for the input Armygirl.
We have been to Harrah's Lughlin many times and probably will just go back there.
I was wondering about the games at Ak-Chin and how the rooms and resturants are.

The rooms at Harrah's Ak-Chin are nice. The pool is very nice. As far as restaurants go, they have a buffet, a 24 hour snack bar that serves the usual hot & cold sandwich items, there is Agave's which serves some very good Mexican and American food, and the best for last is the Range Steakhouse. My wife and I have virtually stopped going to Vegas and Laughlin as Harrah's Ak-Chin has the same and in some cases better video poker games. If you love video poker and love to win, Harrah's Ak-Chin is the place to go.

Their comps are great, but it's like pulling teeth to accumulate decent credits on their 8/6 DDB .25 machines.Rooms are nice, food is very good.If you visit, join the players club and ask for Dee for your slot host... She always gives us $100 meal vouchers.....
