I am looking to play dueces wild. I saw this game in my area, but I am not sure if the payout is better or worse than the regular "full pay" table. The payout structure goes like this:
800
200
25
18
13
4
3
2
2
1
It is different from the regular full pay table in that it pays 1 less for 4-of-a-kind, but it pays 4 more for a straight-flush and 3 more for
So my questions are:
- is there a name for this game and a strategy for it (I assume it's different from the full pay strategy)?
- what is the house edge for this game?
- should I play or not?
Is This a Good Dueces Wild Game to Play?

Sorry to put links to random sites out here, but the super ghetto image upload button wouldn't let me upload an image.
You can find a pic of the game here: http://loudfarts.weebly.com

I've never seen this game --- but if it exists it returns 97.4% and is, hence, unplayable (at least to me).A far more common DW pay schedule pays 16 for 5-of-a-kind rather than 18. It's even worse and, believe it or not, some people actually play it.Using FPDW strategy will cause you to underhold straight flush draws. If you care. Anybody who would voluntarily play a 97.4% game probably isn't very concerned with playing accurately. If he were, he'd practice playing the better games and avoid a game such as this. There are a number of software products that will give you a strategy and allow you to practice.

This game is available in Florida at low denominations. I think the idea is to suck people in with the 125 coin wild royal. I play less than 100% games all the time, but I would pass on this one. Cutting a coin from the full house really hurts. I'll bet you can find a better game if you look around. Try to find one that pays 125 coins for a wild royal and at least 4 coins for both the full house and 4-of-a-kind. Bob's Video Poker for Winners software is almost a necessity these days. It's well worth the $50. I like to support him anyway. He probably needs the money...

Hmm ok thanks Bob Dancer. I found this machine in Atlantic City, NJ. Does anyone know what's the best video poker game to play in AC (or at least which ones are above 100%)?

Nothing above 100% is correct, but there are some bonus games that are better than this.

The picture has it for 16 for 1 on the Straight Flush which is a commonly available Deuces Wild pay table at Caesar's properties in Vegas. It is known as Colorado Deuces and returns 96.77% with optimal play. I would not play it either as the strategy is more difficult to master than a superior Deuces Wild game. The house edge is 3% so I'd rather play a carnival table game.
For AC. Full pay jacks or better seems to be the ideal choice.

Check out www.vpfree2.com for the best games in most jurisdictions. It's not always completely accurate, but it's a good place to start.to make it to 100% these days, you have to include the slot clubs and/or promotions. It is NOT trivial to learn about these programs and the ins and outs of them.If you only play at the best times, double up promotions at several casinos during the same trip, and stop playing when you've reached the levels necessary to obtain the benefits you're after, it's definitely possible to play a game+benefits in AC that exceeds 100%. Do not expect to find out about such situations on this site. Players who have mastered how to do this largely keep it to themselves. Players who post about AC generally do not know how to win there.Bob
