When playing Ultimate X...what are the odds of being dealt a full House followed by a dealt Royal Flush?

I don't play Ultimate X, but I will tell you the odds of a particular hand being dealt do not change from one hand to another. The odds of 20 royal flushes in a row being dealt to you are exactly the same each time.

When playing Ultimate X...what are the odds of being dealt a full House followed by a dealt Royal Flush?Ultimate X, like STP and Good times PAY and other games that offer (or involve) "multipliers" being applied to video poker hands are horrible games to play in general, and as far as I can tell in AC, these games are definitely "programmed" or "Set" to deal a whole lot of NOTHING the vast majority of the time. Its not that hard to figure or understand......casinos are potentially exposed to HUGE payouts on a fairly frequent basis if they just allowed these multiplier games to operate and be applied to normally generated video poker hands.....that's a risk they cannot abide or afford these days.....so what you see particularly in AC is a game like Ultimate X continually and repeatedly deal garbage after garbage when MULTIPLIERS are in effect on particular hands;  Its impossible not to see and notice, that on all games like Ultimate X and STP, the vast VAST majority of hands where a multiplier is in effect will not be of any significance at all.      Obviously some parameter or algorithm within the game itself that we players are not privy to is in effect and influences how the hands are played out.
Right now there are no decent games to play that I know of.
Everyone has their own definition of what a "playable" game is. Successful professionals like Bob Dancer use math alone. Most recreational players use other criteria including how much actual "fun" you have playing that particular game even if the odds say there will be a cost. If you only play games that a pro would play, I suspect you won't find that many options. If you're playing less than 100% Ultimate X, we can most likely assume you are a recreational player. Personally, I don't play gimmicky games because they rarely have decent odds and the variance is much too high for my taste.   You didn't ask for advice, but if you did I would say play Ultimate X sparingly and go back to a traditional game where you have a better chance of keeping some of your money.

It was HUGELY enjoyable --- with a very high volatility. Daily gambling swings of plus or minus $30,000 were very common. In 2013, I lost $100,000 playing that game. In 2014 I was about even (with huge swings along the way), until the last two weeks of the year when I went ahead $150,000. That was the straw that broke the camel's back. I played $500,000 coin-in in the first two weeks of 2015, lost $30K, and they killed the benefits on the game. (after the fact, I wish they killed it two weeks earlier!) I haven't played since. The game still exists at the South Point for 25 cent Ten Play with full benefits. For $25 a "play", there are better opportunities. Still, it is a lot of fun. I might go back to it someday.FP is correct that the volatility is very high and good-paying opportunities come around rarely. And the strategy is VERY different from "regular" video poker. As an example, in the DDB version I played, hold all five cards from AAA55 (at most multipliers), go for the straight from 44567, and regularly hold flush kickers. You do this because the multipliers were very high for full houses, flushes, and straights. Using "regular" 9/6 DDB strategy on the UX version probably costs you more than 1% in EV. The Wizard of Odds website publishes decent strategies for some of the better pay schedules. Otherwise, you need a mathematician to figure it out for you. It's much too complicated for me to figure out by myself, but maybe you have better skills in this area than I do. I tried very hard (and very unsuccessfully) to get the game, with correction, put on the VPW software.Bob

If not even GOLD membership on this site (the main highlight being Quick Quad correction) does not offer correction for Ultimate X, its definitely a money pit.

Thanks for trying on your part.

Ya gotta have a gimmick, if you're a casino. Step right up!
