DDB 100 Play effecitve?

Post by JackpotJumper »

Hi guys i need some opinions. I want to build up a small bankroll playing DDB 100 Play for 10 bucks a deal.
It is usefull to play 100 hands because the good hands will be watered by the many poor ones.

I will start a session with 400 bucks and the Plan is to finish the session if i reach 450 minimum. So i will play consequent and will end finish session, regardless how long it will take to make a small profit.

Is this a plan that will work in a long play?

Hoping for some opinios;) THX guys

Opinions are cheap enough, I'll take a shot at an answer.   I believe what happens in video poker over a short period of time is pure luck.  Playing 1 hand at a time or 100 hands makes no difference, you'll have just as much chance of making a profit as losing your entire stake in 10 minutes.  $400 at $10 a hand is not nearly enough to do anything other than take a total luck shot and in my opinion too much money to throw away on a whim.  If you want to do this, here's what I would do.  Take the $400 and burn it.  If you're smiling after that, you'll be fine with what happens next.  Take another $400 and play the way you described.  If you end up a winner, cash out, leave the casino and never try that again. If you lose another $400 you can rightfully conclude that this does plan does not work and be done with it.  Please don't think that I am being a wise guy for posting this answer, I'm dead serious.  Good Luck!

I was certainly hoping for a longer absence by FP than just a few hours. Oh why did you tease us that way??? Several people have indicated that they learn nothing from your posts and find them dragging down the entire site.  As to the original poster, what pay schedule are you talking about? If it is 9/6 DDB, you're still fading a 1% house advantage. And you're expecting to have a daily win? It doesn't work that way.If you're talking about a 9/5 game, or worse, it's even rarer to win. With ANY pay schedule of DDB, it's a heaven or hell game. You will have ups and downs depending on whether you hit the big jackpots or not. It is certainly NOT a good vehicle for a smooth buildup of bankroll.A far more dependable way to increase your bankroll is to get a second job. Earning extra money and designating it to go towards your gambling fund can be an effective way to save money. In order to KEEP your bankroll, you need to look at games that return more than 100% --- including slot club, mailers, promotions, etc. If you are not playing such a game, you will lose over the long run. Period! Those posters on here who think pay schedules don't matter simply do not understand what winning gambling is all about. The fact that you didn't mention pay schedules in your original posts indicates that you probably aren't paying attention to them --- which means you very likely are a losing player. Ignore pay schedules at your peril!there are basically no gambling games where you can earn a steady income without big swings. All gambling games come with swings in them. That's part of the fun/pain of gambling. There ARE gambling games where you can earn money over time --- with big swings along the way. Finding these games starts with learning about pay schedules and refusing to play any game where the house has the edge.

As for what you might take home in cash - The bankroll you'll need is whatever you can afford to lose. There is no guarantee that you will come up, or break even. This also goes for those 100% payback machines with optimal play. You are betting 500 coins per deal, so the swings can be pretty intense. Remember, over 80% hands dealt on average are going to be crappy hands, so multiply that by 100. You might get lucky, but for the most part, don't be disappointed if you finish in the negative.Good luck and most of all, have fun!

9/6 DDB is a 99% game when played perfectly --- which means the house has a 1% edge --- before slot club, mailers, and promotions are thrown into the mix. Most players play imperfectly so the house edge for them is closer to 1.5% or 2%.Stopping rules do not affect the house edge. How much money you start with does not affect the house edge.If you're playing a game that is this far negative, play long enough and you will end up losing whatever you have. Count on it!(Using CS on this game would be even worse.)

I agree with your premise... I just don't have the patience to play 100 hand poker games.... doesn't have the excitement of hitting something big on a 3 or 5 play... i feel like I'm just hoping for being dealt something big! good luck though!

Depends on the odds in the casino. I've been looking for 9/7 100 play, but the only hundred play I could find was in Bellagio and it was a 9/6.
You have to have a substantial bankroll though at 600 a pop.
And the return is dimished by the amount bet of course.
