Chicagoan I'm wondering if it's more akin to how gasoline marketers change their prices so often to reflect current activity?

It is mostly an over reaction of the Today's Score on the business end, as this was not the first time there was a double point day. The SouthPoint probably did not achieve the profit level that day to a point where it can impact operations.

Although the biggest advantage play was partially taken out, the problem is beyond the quantity of W2G payouts. For the 10-play $1 denomination, ANY dealt quick quad (which can happen more often than a dealt natural quad) can produce the W2G.

I mainly think that there were much fewer people that were playing the slots than usual to help neutralize the balance of the amount of strong VP players present that day. Just my opinion.

Mr. Gaughan has stated several thousands of players have had their Club card membership revoked on the radio in the past for those that abused playing excessively on the double point days, it could be one of the next possible course of action the casino will take.

I was there on double point day from about 1p-3p. Hoped to bump into Bob and say a surprise hello. The quick quads were full, but didn't see him. Found three people pounding away at the multi-line units at the lobby bar while I looked like a nobody playing my one line quarter 8/5 Bonus w/STP for "fun" while drinking a Fat Tire. Lady next to me was playing 9/6 Bonus Deluxe at $50 a whack (100.24% max after double points). She had racked up about 25k points on her card that day when I glanced over.

Mr. Dancer has educated the players through the seminars, this forum, and the radio show quite frequently about the Quick Quads play at the SouthPoint to make this a significant.

I think Mr. Dancer primarily puts in his play from the midnight to the morning AM.

The Bonus Deluxe play is one of the reasons I think downgrading just the Quick Quad machine will not resolve their overall bottom line.

He says a few hundred players have had their cards revoked. If you're talking Station Casinos, yes the few thousand players severely restricted is probably accurate. But not at the South Point.Looking for me at the Quick Quads machines in the future will not find me. Part of the "deal" I made to keep at least 8/5 Bonus and 9.7 DB Quick Quads (both 99.55%) was that I wouldn't play those machines.

Thanks for the correction as I take pride in trying to provide correct information, I re-listened to the episode again at the 25 minute mark.

There were over 30,000 video poker players on the Club and 140 of them were revoked over the last two years. I misheard the figures there with the former instead of the latter. This episode was taped almost 4 years ago, I suspect these numbers will rise but not to the amount of several thousands.

I love quick quads, just love it. Was this machine single hand or multi? Single hand is really the only one I like. Isn't fun missing three quick quads at once for me. Ran lucky last night myself on the game with dealt kings and dealt 43444. A few other quads on the draw before I actually hit my first and last quick quads of the night. $450 profit in my pocket I am really glad to carry around today. It was a lucky run just like playing here, but for real finally.

Nice session for you on Quick Quads, a tidy little profit is always something that will put a smile on a players face. Congrats.

The machines at South Point were multi-hand.

I found out in February that Orleans had an 8/5 Bonus w/QQ game (99.55%) on their Five Star machines for single line quarters.
