When you sit down to play video poker do you sit on one machine and play one game or switch things around and try other machines or games? Do you hop from one casino to another if there are many around like in las vegas?
In a casino do you play one video poker game?

Move to another machine if you are bored or uncomfortable, or if someone is sitting next to you who annoys you. However, don't move expecting to change the outcome of your gambling session.
As for changing games, I see people do this all the time. My theory is to be as proficient as possible in one game -- DDB --- so that is what I play for money. I play it single, multi, STP, and multi-strike.

If its a DDB machine I will probably invest about $40 in tens. If i dont get any quads or fullhouses I will move. However if Im playing a Gameboy I may play 20 bucks in DDB and then pay some on DW and then maybe some Double Double Aces Faces. I will still move after a while if nothing is hitting or if Im not getting any good hands like dealt trips or pulled flushes and full houses.

I`m with rascal on this...change if your uncomfortable with AC freezing you a heavy smoker beside you, noise, but I forget the idea of a machine due to pay off.
I play DDB most of the time and work at it on line to improve my skill, but i do switch to other vp games when I get bored. If I get too tired of concentrating on VP I switch to slots where I don`t have to think at all and those I play for fun!

I'm with Bob and Rascal; I'll move if I'm bored or if someone nearby is distracting my play. People who scream everytime they get a trip can be annoying and can break your concentration. I also relax on slots for fun. In Vegas I only play the MGM properties because of Players Club, it's where I build comps. I will play other casinos but not seriously; my serious VP play is at MGM; look for the good pay tables, there in there but you have to look around.

I start out playing nickels to see how long I can play. If I hit something good and have more money to play with then I move to quarters. I play there usually playing double double bonus hoping for a royal or aces with a kicker. If I do really well then I move on up to dollars. Sometimes I cannot find a place to sit so I am forced to begin with dollars but that means it will be a very short evening LOL! UNLESS! But unless has not happened often. One night I kept getting quads so I was doing very well.
