After yet another wipeout session remaining on a machine post quad, I am going back to my old ways. I shall henceforth ABANDON any machine granting me a JOB quad. This sounds harsh and I anticipate all the counter arguments, but feel free to restate them. I recently personally witnessed a woman hit the RF after a quad. But all I ever get is an empty wallet. The Siberian cold cycle always starts the very next hand and is relentless. I'm either getting a new machine or leaving the building. Peace out.

Normal human human beings hate losing, some more than others.  I suspect hardened professional gamblers also hate losing, but their confidence in their skill and methodology keeps them in the game. I do not possess any of their attributes, so I play for the fun of it.The secret to being a happy recreational gambler is to gamble with money you don't care anything about. For a few that may be $100K, for others it may be a handful of quarters.  Balancing the cost of fun with the negative emotions that come with losing is always walking a fine tightrope.  If moving machines gives you confidence, why not do it?  It may not help, but it sure can't hurt and you might get a little more exercise.

I can only go by my dreadful post quad results. 100% give back within the hour is almost guaranteed. I did see a post quad RF recently. I was playing the same machine yesterday with the usual crash and burn. Very happy the old way. Quad, cash out. Start an ascension on the new machine. It was a pretty good system! I let my stubbornness prevail and paid. We even have a cold cycle icon now. But I'll insert a copy of this thread in my player card envelope and will keep alongside me during play as a reminder not to become complacent!

That's precisely what I'm advocating going forward. Win and cash out.

Three quads yesterday; cashed out after each. System worked well, as it usually does. Only problem was limited time allocation for PM session. 45 minutes usually means a loss, $26. Players do need time to stick around for the quad. Minimum one hour time investment per machine should be the yardstick.

Played 2 hours to kill some time on nickel single play 9/6 TDB, which I rarely play anymore. Not one stinking quad within those 2 hours. I usually hit several within that time frame, but not today. Casino host did hook me up with a $75 food comp though, so at least it took the edge off a bit from losing that C-note.
