This is sad.   I gave in to Mr. Dancer's desires and exiled myself to the Recreational Forum and it still wasn't good enough.  Evidently, the only thing that will satisfy him is if all disagreement is permanently purged from this forum.   Look, there are two worlds in video poker.  The professional world is totally different from the recreational world and he should recognize that.  I will keep my strategy discussions on the Recreational Forum.  This gives him the entire website to say and discuss whatever he wants.   I am a Gold member of this website and according to the rules I should be entitled to my own opinions.  For those who disagree with me, don't go to the Recreational Forum and you won't have to listen to it.  I would like to thank the owners and moderators of this website for not pressuring me to leave.   I understand Mr. Dancer is an advertiser and his opinions carry at lot of weight.  I do not have any personal beef with him whatsoever and I think we can coexist if he will allow it.

I value Mr. Dancer's insights and opinions. I also value my bankroll and try to save as much of it as possible by dropping down coins every other hand. I would definitely save a ton with CS if I had the discipline to stick to it 90% of the time! Ted is simply the luckiest VP player between coasts.

Why does it become necessary for people to post, and then re-post.....and then re-re-post the biggest, most obvious truism/cliche in the USA.....specifically, that anyone, and EVERYONE has the "right" to say or express their O P I N I O N.....???!!?!?!?!    Seriously, is there anyone here who does not already understand that?  Or is there anyone here who seriously thinks that he/she/it is going to successfully PREVENT another poster or group of posters from exercising this obvious "right"?     Here are some things to really, truly ponder: Why exactly is Bob Dancer so utterly incensed by floridaphil's "Cheap Strategy"?    Forget whatever real or perceived "INSULTS" FP supposedly hurled in Bob's direction (I would actually like to know what these insults were because I honestly missed them, the so-called "libelous" awful terrible personal insults Floridaphil launched at Bob Dancer in between Floridaphil's incessant posts about his utilization of CS and how he believes it symbolizes him giving the "finger" to the casino industry and people like "Bob")......What is it that Bob finds so ......"DANGEROUS" (his exact word)????   Seriously, this has got to be one of the most absurd, ridiculous things anyone has ever posted on this forum, and BOB needs to come back for a moment and explain exactly what he meant by this and why it is the case.    WHAT is so........lol.........DANGEROUS about what FP is posting Bob?!?!?   Just to clarify, I (myself) personally hold the opinion and  think that FP's CS is total crapola, I personally would never use it or employ it,  and.....I cannot believe I am about to type this......Tedlark is correct about always playing max coin and the need to drop down in denomination to facilitate being able to play at MAX COIN if necessary! (But I do think Tedlark overstates somewhat the actual IMPACT that Floridaphil has on Bob Dancer, specifically where FP may be guilty of "taking income out of Bob's pocket".....I doubt Floridaphill has that much impact, nor is Bob's actual business or income that "THIN" or vulnerable or tenuous as to be throttled by the postings of an admitted amateur video poker hack advocating a absurd "cheap strategy".  But even if he did, even if FP's posts here did impact "Bob Dancer's wallet", so what?   What exactly has FP done that is so reprehensible or more important, what could Bob do about it?    And to top it all off, So what?!?!   Who the flip is Bob Dancer that someone like FP should be banned from a PUBLIC website forum like this just because it (allegedly MIGHT) cost him a few bucks? But Floridaphil has the right to talk about it, defend it, analyze it, compare it to whatever he wants....etc.    But of course, FP must also be prepared to accept the criticism and derision that comes from putting oneself on a public forum like this and posting controversial topics and actually engaging with other posters about it.......Sure, Obviously BOB dancer knows as much about video poker as anyone on the planet, and for people like jetermacaw and a lot of the other posters on this forum (including myself) who play video poker more than a little, it is SEEMINGLY nice, even helpful, to have someone like Bob with all his knowledge around on this forum to learn from and ask questions from time to time........But notes1 is correct, the man is about as pleasant as a High Colonic.    And that's ok too, because as Bob himself will tell you, he could care less about other people and their opinions, etc etc.   This provides all the insight you need into why the man does what he does for a living, why he lives in Vegas, why his life is what it is, etc etc.     But as notes1 essentially flat out states, I myself think whatever benefit bob brings to the table here to the forum, he more than cramps it with his unpleasant arrogance and haughty posting style......and that is fine too, that is also his RIGHT.    He can act and manifest whatever type of personality he chooses......but it is puzzling that for someone who spends as much time as he does in and around the SERVICE industry, and for someone whose livelihood is at least partially tied to making and maintaining good interpersonal relationships with people, that he would allow himself to be so coarse and abrupt with people who, according to his own analysis and conclusion, "KNOW NOTHING, MEAN NOTHING, ARE FOOLS, etc."   If he is truly that superior to them, then why not cut them some slack?   What harm does it do to actually .....BE NICE to people?   Why not TRY and elevate them up to YOUR lofty perch???  I fail to understand, again, why Bob is so unnerved and flustered by Floridaphil and his hollow "Cheap Strategy"????    It just does not add up......how could such an accomplished "PROFESSIONAL" like Bob Dancer allow himself to be thwarted so badly by someone like FP?!??!!So I personally would like to exhort the rest of the forum community to urge Bob to return, at least to address the question above about the alleged "DANGER"  that Floridaphil and his CS represents. As for FP himself......I have no personal problem with the man, I just think his method and approach to playing Video Poker is Not very good, but that's his business.....his business is just that.....HIS.    and I have no doubt whatsoever that he has found many of my posts in the past annoying, uninteresting or whatever......which is also fine.    I am also quite certain that if we ever met in person, we would be friends.......
I am also quite certain that if we ever met in person, we would be friends.......
I'm sure and everyone else on this forum as well. The one and only reason I brought up "you know what" again is to make the point that everyone has the right to any opinion they want to express on this forum.  If someone actually read my posts, they would have known that I gave up on that strategy some time ago.  There should never be any room for bullies on this forum.   If you disagree, be an intelligent adult and state your case.  Don't sit back and bury sneaky little insults about someone in every post you make without expecting something in return.

There is one way to play CS that would not undermine the math and perfect strategy rules long term. For some reason, it seems to work pretty well on Deuces Wild, but not as well on a game like full pay job. It could be perception, but often times those deuces do come in clusters, and that is when CS can clean up. Anyway, the one way is this. I think I mentioned it in another post a day or two ago too. Play the smallest amount you can on a machine and still get paid the correct amount for the Royal. Also make sure you are playing the highest paytable available. If you do up your bets on wins of 4 or more, your long term percentage results will be the same as just flat betting on the same game. All of us have to remember one thing. Long term could be longer than our lifetimes. I wish that wasn't the case, but it does explain how some players can hit royals just about every few sessions and others like myself can go many hundreds of thousands of hands and never hit royals. The last few royals I have seen people hit up at Mohegan Sun were all by people playing lousy paytables and not following perfect strategy at all. I haven't seen any lately hit on 99 percent games, but that is the nature of short term results.
Not everyone Phil.
It is impossible to make everyone in this world like you or make them agree with you.  If you are angry with people just because they don't think like you do, it makes your life miserable and poisons everyone around you.   The best thing you can do is stand by your principles, remain positive and ignore negativity.
There is one way to play CS that would not undermine the math and perfect strategy rules long term.
I don't want to discuss CS anywhere except on the recreational forum.  CS quarters is practically revenue neutral.  It's the same thing as playing for free on this website except you can do it in a casino.  Why it gets folks so upset is totally beyond me.

Mr. Dancer was wrong to leave as his posts are extremely beneficial. My husband is constantly trying different strategies in golf looking for that perfect grip, posture etc. even though the Pros have told him exactly what he needs to do. The majority of us are going to try different strategies looking for the one that will either pay us or save us money and I for one appreciate hearing about them from others.   I don't think Mr. Phil is wrong in discussing his method. We can try it and decide for ourselves if it fits the way we want to play. My friends and I have these discussions all the time, agree or disagree we never insult each other and no one storms off. I follow Bob Dancers teachings 99% of the time but after playing for decades it's fun and human nature to change it up now and then. It's what keeps it fun and entertaining which is the main reason I play. Come on back Bob, I need to hear what a moron I am 1% of the time. 😘
