Are paytables different on the same machine if you change the denomination? I'll play Lutheran for a while if I have to. Okay seriously though are they?Paytables can definitely change on the same machine at different denominations.  Be sure you are looking at the correct denom when you check them out and then DOUBLE CHECK before starting to play.  I've seen it happen so often when someone will put in $25 to play at the quarter level and not notice that the machine is set on the $1 level.  $25 doesn't last long at the $1 level <LOL>

Also, wherever you play, keep your wits about you. In other words, be aware that there are a lot of not so nice people around who will steal from you, con you, rob you blind, offer to teach you their system, or proposition you for a price. And so on and so forth.

That's a good point, rascal.  Eduardo, most of the riff-raff come out late-night.  Not as much of a problem during the day, but still be wary of strangers coming up to you while you're playing.  Casino employees will be wearing a uniform of sorts, and they'll all have photo ID's clipped to their shirt or belt.  If someone is really pestering you, press that "Change" button on the machine and an employee will come over.

Yup, seen that myself.  Eduardo, if the denomination is $.25, that doesn't mean $.25 a hand, it means each coin bet is $.25.  So a hand of $.25 VP with 5 coins bet is $1.25.  Glad you mentioned that, MikeA.

Oh man so with quarters on triple play max bet is $3.75 on every deal! Now I see why you guys say I should start at a low denomination.

You got it.  On one Vegas trip, my best friend sat down at a five-play machine and popped a $100 bill in it.  She thought she was playing a nickel machine, but it was quarters!  Her $100 was almost gone before she noticed.  Whenever I play a touchscreen machine I always touch the "Credits" section of the game screen to toggle it to show $ instead of credits.

Many of the machines allow multi-denomination play.  You can select a low denomination, and if you want to get a few hands in at a higher denomination you can just go to the main screen and pick it.  The machines allow you to do that without cashing out.

I mentioned in another thread that the Hilton should have a business center, with PC's available for free use by guests.  If you have a question while you're there, just post a message.

Oh that would be great.  I will also have my laptop in the room so I know I will have access there any way. Of course I don't want to have to run upstairs too many times.

You'll probably be going up to your room every hour or so to stash the $1000's you'll be winning.

Don't get caught up in the excitement when you first get there. After you got your players card, take a little while to see where everything is at.  Food, bathrooms and scout out the machines.  I've heard of to many storys of people getting caught up in the excitement and blowing there whole bankroll before they knew it.
Casinos are just like candy stores for adults.
Good luck and most of all enjoy yourself.

I know people sometimes take pictures if they have a cell phone camera but can I bring my digital camera into the casino to take screen pictures? I know a lot of businesses do not like you taking pictures but is it okay in the casino?

Eduardo,I have never been  approached by security when using a camera in a casino, however, I don't recall ever using one on the actual casino floor.  Mostly in the area outside the gaming floor like in the lobby or in walkways where other photo ops occur.  My wife HAS taken pictures inside the casino with a camera and has gotten away with it.  I would suggest that if you do, make sure the FLASH is turned off.  That would be a dead give-away that a camera was in use and I would imagine that it would draw security like honey draws flies!I know that the reason is not security on behalf of the casino but rather security to protect the privacy of the gamblers who are in the casino...they may be supposed to be running an errand for their boss, or picking up a loaf of bread at the local grocery store instead of being in a casino!
