August promotion

Post by billryan »

A casino in Henderson is offering $10 cash back for $1,000 run thru a machine. It's offers NSUD at 99.73 and JOB at 99.54.
The ten dollars for a thousand makes this a positive return, no?
It's limited to $140 a month so it's not a huge play, but it does make it positive, no?
You also get to keep the points.

Yes it is, 1% cashbacks are rare. It is worth taking a bank loan of $2000 for it, the max $14000 coin in. I'm dead serious.

Do not be surprised if they make some machines ineligible for the promo.

I would be very interested in dancer's opinion on this recommendation.

If you would need a loan to pull it off, then Bob would tell you to stop playing VP.

Fair enough, I deserve my ridicule there. I was not thinking straight as I was using a mobile device at the time and this was eye opening. If you can get approved for a casino marker, you can have 30 days to pay it back without interest or penalty. But if I ever recommended CASHCALL instant loans which have over 2000% interest, I deserved to be slapped in the face.

I happened to have the $2000 bankroll allocation built up over time to pursue this which I would not hesitate to do it if I lived nearby (and also validating the promotion on site). If I did not, I would do whatever I reasonably can to try to pursue it.

It also largely depends on the denomination that is being played. The smaller the denomination, the more chances you have at the good hands so you will not need $2000, more like $900. It would take me 20 hours to grind $14k, I do not want to spend that much time at a smoke filled casino. That is the other big reason I play higher than usual denomination, besides the fact that higher denominations usually has the better pay schedule in certain places.

I was also thinking along the lines where I had the worst luck at the Palms casino. No Wild Royals or Natural Royals, no quad Deuces. Getting the $25 gift card for $12500 coin in was $1650 loss. It can happen so you always prepare for the worst. I play strictly for earning comps and slight entertainment, and allow the long run results pan out for itself.

I only agree if the player has no source of income whatsoever to grow the bankroll. Otherwise take the loan and pay small if you have the entire month to get it done.

as often as I have posted about the problems debt can cause, my post was tongue in cheek. this advice would be no different than suggesting one take out a loan, to invest in the stock market, simply because the PAST performance shows it goes higher. neither 'bet' is guaranteed.

just because one has absorbed every word dancer has spoken/written, does not qualify one to give advice.

Guilty as charged. I'm no expert. billryan and others should skip my comments as they please. I'll still do my own thing.

It will be August a few days we'll find out if Mr. Dancer will be returning as a participant. It will be good to have the right guy on the horse.
