Over the years I have done pretty good on Double Double Bonus Video Poker (Dollar Denomination)
It was the first strategy I leaned so I have stuck with it...
Many years ago I got a copy of Bob Dancer's Win Poker and practiced till I got it perfect...
That being said... ( DDB is a tough game it's feast or famine) for me anyway...
So thanks to video poker dot com and a lot of boring hours I have leaned to play perfect strategy for:
Jacks or Better
Bonus Poker
Deuces Wild
Double Double Bonus
Out of the game versions above which game would say is the best one to play at a casino...
Maybe I should rephrase the question to which one do you play when you visit a casino and why...
Thanks in advance to any help you can give me in picking a new game version to play...
I need to change my game...

For us deuces wild is the only video poker game. It's low variance, very exciting and good odds are available if you look. I used to be a $1 DDB player myself and just got tired of being beaten up all the time. No matter how much you win, the game takes it right back. The only way I will play DDB now is $20 at a time and I head to the door on any quad or higher. Try deuces, you might like it...

FloridaPhil, when available what do you think about Deuces bonus poker? Compared to Deuces wild? I'm starting to like that...
FloridaPhil, when available what do you think about Deuces bonus poker? Compared to Deuces wild?
I've played it a few times. The variance seems higher to me. I've yet to find a decent Bonus Deuces pay schedule in Florida. It may be different in your area. I like regular deuces because the straights and 4-of-a-kinds keep you in the game. About once an hour you get a wild royal for 125 coins which is the same as a JB quad. Every 5,000 hands or so you get a quad deuce for 1,000 coins and things really get interesting. It's very exciting because you never know what the deuces will bring. I switch between quarter and dollar play. A $1 quad deuce pays the same as a quarter royal ($1,000) and it's a lot more frequent.

The DW variance is higher than Jacks or Better, but not as bad as DDB. I think it's manageable. On the other hand, if you play all day and don't hit a royal or a quad deuce, you could be in for a bad day. Good Luck.

Except for brief forays on tb+, I play DDB.
In my area, the best payouts are usually on progressives and those are usually DDB. I also like that there are numerous ways to hit for 800 credits - which matches my session bankroll. Sure, I often bust out after and hour or two, but I like the ride.
When I go to the casino, I go to gamble. Not loiter.
