Post by FloridaPhil »

Went to the Tampa Hard Rock today and found they are now charging $10 a day for parking.

That is unfortunate. Do you get it waived somehow with substantial amount of play?

Edit: I found my answer

Elite Wild Card members and XCARD members.

HOW DO I GET PARKING VALIDATIONS?

Restaurant dining of $50 or more (non-comped) receive free validation by bringing your parking ticket and dining receipt to the Player's Club. Council Oak Steaks & Seafood or Grey Salt will be the exception and parking tickets will be validated by the staff at those restaurants. Purchases at the Food Court, Center Bar, Lobby Bar and Pool Bar are not eligible for parking validation.

Spa & Salon services of $50 or more (non-comped) receive free validation at the Rock Spa.

Hotel guests park free and receive validation at the Front Desk.

New Seminole Wild Card sign ups receive free validation at the Player's Club only on the day of sign up.

WILL I BE ABLE TO PAY FOR PARKING WITH COMP DOLLARS?

Yes, you may redeem 10 Comp Dollars for parking validation at any Player's Club. Comp Dollars must cover the full $10 parking fee. Guests cannot make partial payments with Comp Dollars for the $10 parking fee.

At least they won't charge us when we stay at the hotel in Hollywood.  I needed an excuse to stop going to Tampa anyway.  They did me a big favor.

High stakes players over there will disagree and not have to worry about parking when they reach Elite status on Wild Card.

according to dancer, there are positive opportunities at this casino.

Not at the stakes I play.
It's like BJ. Wynn used to offer an outstanding $25 game. Then they upped it to $100, $200 when busy. If a civilian asks me how Wynns BJ is,I say lousy, because their good game is beyond the ability of most of us to play.

seeing as I almost never agree with you, here is a surprise, this time I do. and, that is the problem with the assertion made by dancer.

when one has complained in the past about not being able to play positive machines like he suggests, he will assert that he has VP associates who find positive opportunities nearly everywhere.

well, just because there is a positive $25 game, it does not mean everyone wants to risk that amount.

so, unless one wants to pay $400 for a flight to a Nevada casino, along with other expenses for a 1-2 day gaming experience, those who play nickel or quarter machines either do not play or play the best that is available. and, there is no guarantee the better paytables will pay off.

I did get denigrated for assuming Mr. Dancer plays $25 denomination games all the time. Mr. Dancer stated 5% of his coin in was for those stakes. But there is no need to play for those stakes to do decently at Hard Rock Tampa.

Bottom of the page on this thread

I think I can hold my own very well at Hard Rock Tampa. I'll play more than enough to avoid paying the parking fees. I'll play less than Phil time and quantity wise, but I will earn more comps as well. I will lose less money too, but will not be in the positive.

I am quoting dancer per your link, 'I certainly have never said you need to play $25 machines TO MAKE A LIVNG AT VIDEO POKER'.

i said and i quote, 'well, just because there is a positive $25 game, it does not mean everyone wants to risk that amount'.

now, tell me where i said dancer only plays $25 machines. i could care less what denomination he plays. unlike you, i never try to read his mind or speak on his behalf. you have been chastised for saying things you have no knowledge of.

with all your expertise on VP, why have we not heard about your results? feel free to post pictures of your w/l statements.
