Anyone play MultiStrike?

Post by billryan »

Attended Mr Dancers class on this game today.
I don't think anyone in attendance had played this before. The version at South Point is $25 a spin as it is five play at twenty quarters a hand.
Lots of changes to basic strategy at the first two levels,
Some of which I still don't understand.
Not for the weak of heart or purse.

You are mentioning the one about the 5 play one.

There is a single play one. Yes you bet $5 a round for quarters. And most of the time get back less than your wager.

Regular Multi-Strike is near the Del Mar Lounge

You are fortunate to be able to attend Mr. Dancer's courses. Not sure if he made the decision to return to this forum, probably my decision will follow his accordingly.

Forgot to answer the question, no I do not play Multistrike as I do not have close access to it.

Too expensive and complicated. I understand the strategy in theory wanting to just proceed to higher levels then switching to a regular strategy once there at the top. I would rather just play stp or dtsp and know the strategy pretty well.

I play it for nickels once in a while at Mohegan Sun and very rarely for quarters. I like their machine because it lets you bet up to 10 nickels per line. To get paid the correct amount for the Royal, you have to bet at least 5 per line so it costs you a buck to play for nickels. This game is extremely streaky. The strategy as you found out is a bit complicated, and goes against the grain for most other games. However, I and the wife have had some big hits on this game if you can wait out the streaks. Two years ago, she caught a Royal on the top line so it was 4000 nickels times 8. I never caught the Royal, but have caught quad deuces playing Double Bonus Deuces Wild on all lines and once or twice caught them with the Ace. Even 5 Aces on this game pays 160 for one. I have caught 5 Aces before on the top line good for 3200 nickels. I would like to say that I am ahead on this machine, but no. However, most times, I was ahead on it at some point and just didn't quit. By the way, the paytable on this machine is over 98% so not too bad really. Edited to add a correction. A hit on the top line with 5 Aces is 160x5x8 for 6400 nickels.

Never liked this game. Another game that is bad is peek and play . Too many disadvantages to play basic strategy.

If you can find a good paytable, MS is a good game. They have 9/6 JOB at Borgata in AC. I believe that with the strategy changes that Bob recommends, it raises the Payback % to 99.75% I follow Bobs strategy and go for paying hands on line 1 and 2, then revert to regular strategy on lines 3 and 4. Makes total sense and kinda figured this out on my own then Bob confirmed it. I had incredible luck on these machines when they first appeared at Borg, I believe when the casino first opened in 2002 if I remember. The machines are still there today, but don't get much play. Very streaky even for 9/6 Jacks and most people don't like this volatility. As far as my incredible luck, I hit 3 8k top line royals in the first 2 years, before a royal on any other line. What are those odds? Have since gravitated to the 9/5 version of Super Douuble Bonus which is a 99.69% theo. Bottom line, if you can find 9/6 Jacks, a very good game.

game started out in my doghouse since ameristar had it located directly btwn my 2 fave ultX machines...and dayum, is that game annoying in real life--wouldve thought it was a penny slot machine...and best part, this machine had no volume control-yea. Time heals all--do not loathe the game anymore, worked its way upto a basic despisal now
