Doesn't have the same "draw"  No pun intended  I'll stick to the orignal; well, at least til it becomes the next weekly contest

Haven't played it, but can see why. If I understand right, small hands don't matter to create multipliers and the rest I can't comment because I don't understand it yet. It is typical in slots for a machine people like to be replaced by something they don't like as much, because casinos didn't like the original. Many casinos will replace the originals I think with these new versions, take it or leave it. I think people will not play these as long, possibly being burned out too, but once they're replaced, there might not be going back.

They may substitute a few of the units for this, but Ultimate X isn't going anywhere. It's clearly the most played variant in the Midwest. My local casinos both have about 30 machines apiece and they get nearly full on weekends. Also if the casino have the newer VP units, it's just a software change. If it doesn't work out, change it to regular Ultimate X again.

The game is brutal. Played 8/5 DDB for about less than an hour and lost my 10,000 credit quota. I do not know basic Ultimate X strategy and played badly.

There are no custom pay tables available, all of them are 96-97% variants.

For the vultures or fleas or whatever you want to call them, IGT did implement a feature where you have to bet 10 credits in order to play with the multipliers that are left behind. They will remain disabled if the player bets anything less until the player bets 10 credits and the multipliers reappear again.

At least for me, a video poker game does not need to have big potential payouts in order to enjoy it. I'll let someone else figure out the strategy to approach this game. Going to cancel the GOLD membership and resubscribe when the next new G2E game becomes available.

What did they claim 8/5 DDB payback to be? Or did they say?

I don't like hearing about the have to bet 10 to get access to old multipliers, but I'm not surprised.

I went gold for a few days to try it out. I think the game will be a hit, but only for nickles.

It is a huge credit vacuum until a fl/fh hits. Then with a few 12x "blowups" a big winning streak can commence. Seems that 4 to a straight, even a gut shot with no high cards and all 2 pairs should be held. Instead of playing one game ahead, like ULTX, you are now playing 4 or 5 games into the future.

As for the buzzards, I am torn on that. Personally, I would want to be able to spin off my own multipliers at 5 credits. But, the crew of sketchy characters looking over my shoulder waiting for me to get up ready to pounce - I won't miss them. The constant parade of screen flippers at adjacent machines - annoying, but tolerable.

Inside straights with no high cards and holding all two pair is standard UX strategy already, btw. The "winning streak" portion may make even more radical changes to strategy. I doubt anyone will bother to calculate one though...likely too complex.

I don't like it. Takes all the fun away of two big wins in a row for a big hit. Flushes and full houses and straights dont mean as much anymore. I'm kind of confused where the multipliers go when they're stacked. Vultures will still play and this game might be more attractive, but bankrolls will need to be higher.

I tell you my best wins on Ux would be really cut short on this game and that's disappointing. The dealt flushes and full houses followed by more and quads dont mean as big a win on this game. My 44442*12 would have been a fraction, almost a non event. I liked the variance and this game is like being a hostage.

I think it would have been better if multipliers were only two hands forward rather than three. It is so disappointing not getting multipliers for pairs. This version lacks something special and ruins what was good about the original. Dealt hands kept you in the game and made your day. Every dealt straight or flush really made you wonder about the next hand being what you came for, a fat win. Really can't see this game as being what players have been asking for.
