I may have mentioned before about the Potawatomi Band and their plan to build another Four Winds casino, this time in South Bend, Indiana.
They released plans yesterday and agreements have been made between the Potawatomi and the City of South Bend along with the federal government. However; there is no agreement between the Potawatomi and the State of Indiana and this means that the casino will be equipped with class II machines.
Also, the complex will be built in several phases and the first phase plans do not include the 18 story hotel.
Hopefully an agreement with the state will be reached otherwise the class II machines will stay.

Fantastic
If an agreement isn't reached with the state it's not. Class II video poker is bad news.

Please refresh my memory for classes of machine.
Why isn't it at least fraud [if not cheating] to put a long, historically-held appearance of a video-poker machine---looks, sounds, pay tables, name brand--in a casino that does not produce expected outcomes based on a pure 52-card deck randomly generated video-poker game?.....or at least a public warning or admittance to such so avid players don't make the mistake of playing them....It's like legalizing the selling of knock-offs from overseas as real brands...

Whom are you accusing of perpetrating the fraud? It would not be the casino it would be the game manufacturer I see it as buyer beware.

That's just it...as well.....Why are there different classes of machines in different states---and who is making all of these decisions without public notice??

The machines will be clearly marked as being class II video lottery terminals. I imagine there will also be signage posted in the casino.
Class II - video lottery terminal
Class III - standard video poker machine.
It is neither fraud nor cheating.

If the casino is a tribal casino the public notice would be the gaming compact that is signed betwixt the state and the tribe. Said gaming compact is available for public consumption. I believe you are looking for trouble that just does not exist.

Wow!!!I guess I'm the only vp purist left on this site...Maybe I should just retire from the game outside Nevada.....And refrain from caring about hundreds/thousands/millions of people statistically/strategically playing a game that may or may not be real---depending on respective state and tribe.....No further comment or post to this forum from me...it's all yours hotshots...

thestoiicone, a player should be aware of what the gaming conditions are in a casino where they decide to play. There are many gaming jurisdictions in the United States that have class II machines, vlt's, and it is to a players benefit to know this before putting any money into that type of machine.
Once I found out that this new casino would initially be offering class II machines I knew then that I would not be patronizing this location for gaming and I also wanted to pass the word on here so that other players would be aware prior to deciding if they want to play video poker there.
