Like Webman said. Originally they were gift cards, which I re-gifted. Recently, they've been checks. A dubious plot, that creates a "paper trail". Now you have to claim it on your taxes.

I believe you only have to report earnings over a certain amount ($600?) but that is not official tax advice and you should speak to a tax professional if you have questions.That would be the case whether it is a gift card or check.

Webman is correct.

It can also be $600 worth of videopoker.com apparel aside from monetary prizes.

videopoker.com would also have to report all persons who have cumulative winnings of $600 or more within the calendar year to the IRS and send a 1099 form to the person.

I personally know from others who have won online contests outside of videopoker.com

Simple; webman can set the maximum jackpot awarded on this site to $599.00.

I wonder how much that videopoker.com SWAG is worth on the black market?
