Re: Royal Flush Jackpot

Post by DaBurglar »

Just a thought, but with the much discussed lack of royals in AC and other areas for Looooooong stretches I can see the possibility of a progressive royal jackpot growing to this level on a High Denom machine. Couldn't you?

Theoretically, perhaps, but the fact is in my time in AC since 2009 and onwards, it was actually the progressive machines that were there which seemed more reasonable and hit closer to statistics than all the other games. The reasoning is simple.....With progressive games everything is above board and visible, with players (and what few regulators there were in AC casinos after the 2009 shakeup and deregulation of NJ gaming) able to see and reduce and calculate what is going on.....

Hum, Huck Seed famously hit a PROGRESSIVE video poker jackpot for $640,000.00.

I'm not eager to jump all over people for perceived errors and I wasn't the only one who may have been a tad confused about this.

DaBurglar until FAA's 9:23 am post of 2/3/17 how could you have been sure that FAA was referring to YOU as "our resident LIVE poker player?"

Clear as mud.

OK, then you tell me who is the other live poker player here ( and by that I mean someone who plays more than once a year AND posts about it to the extent that I do....AND posts enough on the forum in General to be a so called "resident")....?

See, I said in my previous post the use of logic along with implied deductive reasoning would allow a poster to figure out all that needs to be figured out.... I understand if those qualities are in short supply in the Ted Larkian universe.

And reference huck seeds infamous royal jackpot....Go research the denomination of that particular machine/jackpot he hit, and you'll see there was nothing unusual at all about that level of progressive jackpot given the denom.

As to the jackpot FAA originally posted, it's obvious it wasn't a machine jackpot for video poker in CET AC....If you had been to AC at all in last few years you'd also know it via that route as well

DaBurglar no where in FAA's original post was any, ANY denomination mentioned.

I'm pretty sure there are several, SEVERAL members of this site besides BESIDES you who play live LIVE poker but they just don't ramble on about it here as much as you do.

Getting back to Huck Seed and his progressive royal hit I ask you this: DON'T YOU THINK I KNEW WHAT DENOMINATION ($100.00) THE MACHINE WAS BEFORE I MADE MY POST? I could go on to mention that Huck normally uses a syndicate to fund his video poker exploits but in this particular instance he took on all the financial responsibility himself.

Does your ego have its own zip code?

I posted this some time ago, but maybe 15-20 years ago I saw an older man hit a $250,000 plus jackpot on a .25 row of progressives at the Tropicana. It was a sequential royal in a particular suit. Anybody ever see a higher jackpot on a single line .25 vp machine? I know I haven't seen anything close since that.

DaBurglar no where in FAA's original post was any, ANY denomination mentioned.    Yeah no kidding, and nonetheless you failed to grasp my point in bringing it up in my previous post..... unless of course you are being deliberately obtuse, like the warden Norton from Shawshank Redemption . I'm pretty sure there are several, SEVERAL members of this site besides BESIDES you who play live LIVE poker but they just don't ramble on about it here as much as you do.
AGAIN....I accounted for this and pre-emptively made this point before you could sling it at me, but alas, no stopping you from firing an empty broadside nonetheless........Go back and re-read my previous post.

Does your ego have its own zip code?I'll agree to (and with) your allusion to Huck Seed as a allegedly "Shady" player and person, but I'd also remind the viewing public that quite a few so-called "professional Poker Players" who dominated the game from the period roughly 1989 thru 2003/2004 (the year of the "Chris Moneymaker" effect on the game) have been shown to be very shady in general, with a lot of them sporting gambling addictions, unpaid debts and reputations (and even formal charges in a few of their cases) as con men and frauds.Ask yourself why would a professional player, and World Series of Poker legend, like Huck Seed be hitting a machine that costs 500 bucks a single hand?   Forget the fact he hit the jackpot......why does he need that kind of action and risk/expense ON TOP of everything else?!?!?For TEDLARK only:    I'll GLADLY own up to and admit to having a large primadonna-esque ego if you man up and own up to having one just as large.......one huge difference though is mine comes without the mean spirited bent than yours seems to take such glee in.......and I can laugh at myself without hypocrisy.

DaBurglar I NEVER EVER said Huck Seed was Shady." This also means I NEVER ALLUDED to it or insinuated either.

I don't ask myself why ANYONE does what they want with their money, this includes you. Only Huck Seed needs to own up to Huck Seed about what he does with his money.

Your ego is so large that my ego would merely orbit yours; much in the same manner that Mercury orbits the sun.

Edited to correct the spelling of the word what.

Huck Seed used to run several miles in 120 degree heat and stand in seawater up to his neck for hours-----and worse.....for $K's in prop bets.....What's a few $500 dollar potshots at a $640k progessive in vp????
Did I forget to mention????...he's also a certified math genius!

I should pay that some heed. I did pick up that fat straight flush last Sat on a progressive, evening the session's score in one fell swoop. I immediately got the hell out of town. I've had bitter times on PVP, but it seems fair.

I posted in the AC section, which infers reader experience there, which eliminates the machine option. I'm sure that you would not have minded losing that hand once receiving such a bonanza.
