I had a separate question about club cards - for those of you who play in areas with a lot of >100% machine options, do you use your card?

The majority of my VP play is on these machines, and I've read that the tiny benefits you get from these machines isn't worth the risk of getting barred from these casinos.

I have been told that some casinos punish players that exclusively play the few positive machines left.
In those very limited circumstances, perhaps you might be better off not using your card, but the other 99.8 % of the time, you are doing yourself a real disservice.

I think the "punishment" is from minimal comp points, if any, when playing those machines. Other than that, it's a perception bias.

Casinos WON'T bar anyone from playing unless they are thought to be cheating, or they get drunk and disorderly or something.

If I went to any casino, and hit 3 royals in 15 minutes - they'd definitely roll the video, they would definitely get a slot tech to inspect the machine. But if I did nothing wrong, they would probably disable the machine, keep a close eye on me and that would be that.

I'm not one hundred percent certain, but I believe Bob Dancer has said that some Vegas casinos have banned some video poker players simply for winning. I will ask him to clarify this on Wednesday.
I know some BJ players who have been trespassed for winning. Many are simply told they can't play BJ anymore but some are banned from the casino.

No, the punishment will include weaker mailings, or possibly no mailings. As mailers can include cash back up to $100 a week and equal foods comps, I don't believe that is perception nor is it minimal.

I use my players card 99% of the time, except when I will just slightly run over into the next casino day. If the casino day resets at 3am, I will pull my card at 2:55am and not use it after 3am if I am leaving very shortly.

This came up at Bob Dancers class on slot clubs.
What he said was if your card is logged in at 11:59 and double points start at midnight, all your play after midnight is not doubled. Conversely, with your card logged in during a double point day, you continue to get those double points after midnight.
In other words, the time you log the card in sets the session. If you are playing on a machine as the day changes, as long as you stay on that machine, it's all one session, not two sessions. If you don't pull your card at 255, your play on the machine is credited to that day, not the new day. Only if you change machines does it count as a new day.
