I recently noticed the home page of this website states it has 547,980 members. Do all members enjoy playing VP for the same reason?  Perhaps you are one of the players who hopes to get rich playing the game or at least supplement your income?  Maybe you just like casinos and video poker gives you the best value for your gambling bucks.   Is it the challenge of trying to beat the machine?  Is it the math that intrigues you?   Do you go to a casino to meet friends or spend some quality time with your significant other?   There are probably multiple dozens of reasons why people invest so much time and fortune into this game.We all would understand one another better if we had respect for each others motives.   I may think some players are naive for believing they can beat a casino at anything.   That doesn't mean I'm going to belittle them for trying.  Maybe I'm wrong in my thinking and they are right...  who knows?   I'm also not going to look down my nose at a retiree for playing single coin quarters so he/she can hit up a casino for a free drink.   My view is if a casino gives you something for free, there is a good reason for it.   Over the years I have learned much from other players on this forum.  I actually learned the most from members who were most critical of my views, but had the patience to understand why I felt the way I did.  I was wrong about some things, but thanks to them they made me a better player.   Patience and understanding are essential if we are going to help one another.  Not everyone plays for the same reason, but everyone is due respect.

For the record,  547,980 is your Players Club total, FloridaPhil. Not the current number of registered members. The number of registered members can be found here: http://www.videopoker.com/about/

I'm also curious how many are *active* members. This site has been around for years; do they ever delete idle accounts?

I was thinking, maybe it's an inappropriate question...Like asking a rancher how many cows he has. (maybe that wasn't a good comparison) Hahaha Or like asking someone how much money they make...I thought about it after the fact, and I'm sorry, I wasn't trying to be nosy!
