Lesson to be learned at Hollywood Hard Rock

He's gotta case as long as he initiated the original spin. I'd hate to fight a Native American casino though. Probably a tougher battle than a more regulated jurisdiction.

The Florida Hard Rock Casinos are regulated by their own laws.  There is no State gaming commission in Florida, so the fairness of the games is not verified.   When asked, the casinos tell me they abide by Vegas standards whatever that means.   I play video poker all over the country and have never noticed anything at the Florida Hard Rocks  that would lead me to believe the machines aren't totally random and fair.   When it comes to legal issues, the casino is on native land and they make the rules.  Frankly, I think they are doing a decent job.  In fact, I would rather play at one of the Florida Hard Rocks than any casino in Mississippi for example.   At least the State of Florida is not standing there ready to tax your winnings.   Absurd....

If this would get into a court it would be in the federal court system not the state.

Much appreciated for the discussion about this topic, all good opinions were stated. Hopefully you will not consider letting other people play with your money after reading this, the guest on that GWAE podcast stated "Money brings out the worst in people".

A happy ending will be like the high roller gives about a few thousand to the woman for pushing the button and bringing the good luck. It was not meant to be.

The only legitimate situation the high roller has is that most times the amount the player will win is already predetermined before the person pushes the Start Bonus button. The high roller initiated the Bonus and would have had to spend $50 doing it before allowing the woman to push the button.

Either way the conclusion will likely be that the high roller no longer plays at the Hard Rock Seminole across the state. And if this story ever gets viral, more high rollers might see the negative treatment one of the players got.

On another note, upon much research online about this slot game, it seems like only "Double Top Dollar" is possible to win 4000 credits multiplied by the denomination to produce a $100,000 win.

There are two 2x symbols, along with the bills (credit win). A 1000 with 2 2x will automatically be an accepted offer without allowing the user to choose.

For what it's worth, I lived in Miami for years and South Florida is full of high rollers who like playing the big shot.  Picture an older man with an open shirt, gold chain with gold bling hanging off it and you will have the right picture.   My bet is he patted this girl on the back side and told her to "Hit the Buttons for me Baby!"  Looks like the girl showed him.

I believe it.

The Hard Rock websites used to have a winners page with SEVERAL (all caps for emphasis) pictures of sizable jackpots wins where people rolled high. It was to a point where it blew my mind, saw more than 10 images of $40,000 Royal Flushes ($10 denomination) on Video Poker.

They've seemed to have taken it out. Even my local casino used to maintain a big website dedicated for many people winning jackpots, like hundreds per week, now that is gone too.

We grew up in Miami and moved away when I retired in 1996.  Miami/Ft. Lauderdale is a beautiful place to visit.  It's a great place to live if you have lots of money.  The water is beautiful, the Bahamas are a short 50 mile boat ride away and the fishing is great.  Unfortunately or fortunately however you look at it, it's the retirement area of choice for NE businessmen and Latin hot shots.   They love going to the Hard Rock and throwing money around.  Beautiful Latin girls and models are everywhere in South Florida and some like hanging around these guys.  It's not my style, but if you like that sort of thing and have the funds go for it.  I could care less until they fire up a big cigar when I'm playing near them.  Yuck...This casino is one of the nicest in the Southeast.  The VP odds are decent if you look around.  They have triple play 9/6 JB in dollars, which is pretty close to a positive game with comps.  Lady watching is spectacular.

My guess is the high roller had a few dates with a younger woman, and she was already in the mindset of dumping him when the big jackpot hit occurred. Knowing that it was over anyway, she played her cards perfectly and collected $100K as a departure bonus. By now, she has already found another high roller to play casino games with, and the original high roller is sadder but probably not wiser. Ah, South Florida.....

Makes you wonder if she knew the rules of this casino and was waiting and playing him until the right opportunity arrived. Maybe even suggested he let his good luck charm hit the button on the bonus round knowing that on a high denomination machine there was a very good chance it would bring a hand pay.

There not called Hustler's 'cause they know how to dance.
