These are my rules....now if I could only follow them all of the time. First play a game you like, In my case like Phil it is Deuces wild. Next, leave some time for other fun things not just pounding the machines. It could be dinner, show, shopping, or even alone time with your loved one. Third, have a budget with you that will last you until you really want to quit playing. Nothing worse than running out of money early in a session. Finally, don't start playing when you know you only have a few minutes to play or even just an hour or so. If you have a hot machine or ice cold one and run out of time you will be miserable either way.

Nice article Bill and I took a few minutes to scroll the entire magazine, thanks,

My only question is when did my future wife pose for the cover shot of this publication?

Ted....I think I saw her the other night at Mohegan Sun. She just happens to be one of my favorite waitresses. As far as I know still unattached and the pic in the article doesn't do her justice if you can believe that. She has a kind of a Eastern European accent as well. Walks up and down the rows of machines all night saying with the accent...beverages...beverages...just melts me. If she melts me, I kinda doubt you would be frozen too long either.

The best single line DW game we have seen outside of Vegas is NSU  (25/16/10/4/4/3/2/1) 99.828%.   Airport Deuces (25/15/9/4/4/3/2/1) 98.913% is a lot more common.
The return on NSU deuces is, I believe, 99.73%. I don't know where the 99.828% number could have come from.

The last time we were in Vegas the Red Rock and South Point had full pay DW in quarters.  NSU was the norm for everything else.  NSU is also common in Reno.  The Peppermill and Atlantis has it all over the casino in quarters and above.  In Blackhawk CO you can find NSU at the Monarch.  Cripple Creek CO has quarter NSU three play at Bronco Billys.  I have never seen it in the Southeast.  If anyone has, please let me know.

Probably mistyped the first 8 instead of a 7. I noticed earlier because I have WAY too many of these damn percentages memorized, but I was lazy and was gonna let it slide...

VPFree2 says NSUD exists for dollars+ at some Louisiana casinos and Silver Slipper in Bay St. Louis. At the $2 at Ameristar Vicksburg, but I bet at lot of that data is out of date.

Tunica only has "Airport Deuces" now, 15/10 Double Deuces at Resorts (98.86% + prog.), and 98.8% Bonus Deuces at Bally's or Fitz. Roadhouse used to have "Almost Positive Deuces Wild" (99.96%) instead of NSUD before their major downgrade in 2013.

Bill I'm going to sign up for the electronic version.

I know you will enjoy future issues Ted. BTW, I am on the email list which contains some AZ specific blurbs in addition to a link to the monthly electronic copy. You can also access back issues if you are so inclined.

I've never seen FPDW at South Point. The fact that Bob Dancer doesn't even offer a class in it anymore would back that. He only teaches classes on games that SP has.
I've never seen FPDW at South Point.
I'm sure you're right. We stayed at Red Rock and they had one small group of full pay quarter VP.  We weren't sure of the strategy, so we played NSU instead.  We spend some time at South Point and just assumed they had them too.  Thanks for the correction. Some members of this forum have said casinos penalized them for playing only full pay games.  Would you like to comment on that?

Never tried NSU or any "wild card" game - when I used to play poker I hated the guy that called out one eyed jack games. My game of choice is triple up DDB. I also won't pay extra for a chance at a "times pay" - If no triple up ddp available I will usually play one up dollar but not happy with that one - guess I like lots of hands.
