Is it the extra credits needed that keep you from the Gimmick games? I could be wrong on some of them, but my perception is that, usually, they come with reduced paytables, and much, much, higher volatility. That's enough to keep me away from them.

So between the coffee shop and the gift shop? I'm not sure what you mean by that.

Here's another way to get to the three in the non smoking casino. Walk northerly past the front desk (it will be on your right). As soon as you enter the non smoking casino area, turn right and proceed to the easterly window wall. The two machines at the left end of the most southerly bank of machines along that wall are the two I'm referring to. They are not labelled as 50 play, or anything else, for that matter. They are simply identified as "Multigame".

I know where the ones in the non-smoking casino are.
I'm asking about the other two.   Sounds like they are closest to the parking lot, and close to the gift shop, although your directions have me very confused.
Laughlin is a strange place geographically. Ever notice that the sun seems to set in the east?

Laughlin is a strange place geographically. Ever notice that the sun seems to set in the east? Obviously, I'm not doing a very good job with this, because the other two are nowhere near the parking lot, they are on the other side of the casino, also facing the river.

Starting again at the front desk, go the other way, with the desk on your left. You will be heading in the direction of the Beach Cafe and the mexican restaurant. Once you are past the front desk, turn left and go all the way to the far wall. There are doors to the outside there, with stairs going down to the pool level, beach, and dock. You will be in what I call the video poker room or alcove. The two machines are in the corner at the extreme left end of the bank of machines as you face the river.

There are several (eleven, I think) machines in that room with 25c and 50c three, five, and ten play airport deuces (98.91%) on them. When we are not playing 50 line nickels, we play the airport deuces.

I can't really say that I've had any problem keeping track of east and west in Laughlin.

Down. That is, to the south, which is to the right if you are in Harrahs facing the river.

I've been told it runs east to west in Laughlin, as do the main roads. It's why they refer to the town as Upper and Lower Laughlin, not East and West or North and South. Just west of town, at The Big Bend, it flows south.

Just west of town, at The Big Bend, it flows south. I was going to suggest that who ever told you that was somewhat directionally challenged, until I looked at a map and saw that it really depends where in Laughlin you are.

Where the casinos are, the river flows southerly. Just south of Harrahs, it bends to the west, and flows in that direction for a bit before coming to The Big Bend, where it bends, again, to the south-east, and then south, before it exits Nevada.

The results of my play so far in the weekly game, Ultimate X bonus streak, are a perfect example of why I avoid this type of game like the plague in casinos.

Ten sessions played, and not once have I even broke even. Most results have been considerably below the 8000 needed for a drawing entry. I am down the equivalent of five or six royals.

I have endured some pretty ugly sessions of multiline deuces wild and bonus poker, but the losses are nowhere near those on this monthly game.
