If I patronized an establishment for as long as the original poster had Gallagher's, and if I were unhappy or displeased with the meal/service, I would surely have spoken up.

Because the original poster did not speak up then we'll never know what their response would have been.

I recently emailed Swanson about how disappointed I was with the size of the corn and potato servings in a Hungry Man dinner.
They mailed me four certificates for one free dinner.

Thanks for the trip report. I used to miss AC but I guess now I will just be glad I am out in Colorado and have lots of casinos about an hour/quarter away from me. Close enough to get to and far enough away that I can't make it a daily thing. I still do miss the boardwalk - hate being land locked but you can't have everything out your back door. Glad you had the time with your mom. We don't all get that chance.

We don't all get that chance.Thanks for a very thoughtful and relevant post.   I'm glad you moved somewhere (colorado) that offers things you enjoy.....Yes, AC is a shell of what it was barely 10 years ago, and the fact that I was posting about its decline starting in 2011 and updating as it progressed shows I was 100% correct all along about what was happening and where it was going....you echo my feelings, I thoroughly loved the Boardwalk and the Ocean environment combined with the casinos and all they offered....the fact AC went down the toilet as FAST and as COMPLETELY as it did shows just how incompetent and negligent everyone involved was (Casino Management, the City of AC and its elected/appointed officials, and the STATE of NJ and its elected and appointed officials.)This past trip last week was all about being with my 74 yr old mother, who is a cancer survivor, and who took care of me during my childhood through all the surgeries and fractures, etc.   It goes without saying the overwhelming reason I was even in AC last week was for her (I had been absent from the place for 8 months.)That said, I may (MAY) visit AC again the end of this month, (perhaps 05/22 thru 05/25) since several of my chess & poker buddies have expressed desire to visit and possibly play in a Borgata Tourney that week....we'll see.

I need time in concussion protocol after my last three trips. All my fault for unjustifiable leaps to the dollar level. This leads to bankroll leaping off a cliff.

Damn the torpedoes, moderate speed ahead. Decent day today. My sessions were broken up with a nice stroll to Resorts. It really does help to get out of the casino and partake in the pulsing boardwalk. When I stay in the casino too long, I make crazy decisions to bump up my bets and often bust. Perhaps I had a guardian angel today.

Fyi. On this sojourn to AC and surrounding area, I did not even have a burger or drink in Gallagher's the whole time! I'm hurting them where it matters, but without the rancor or need for vengeance that others preach.

My way is morally superior to the bombastic in your face "I'm the customer and I'm always right" approach advocated by a select phew
