asteroid and billryan, very nicely done guys. You guys know what to do and I got a better understanding of winning approaches.

I am hoping for more good players like you guys along with Mr. Dancer to participate in this forum. I know OTABILL said there were many good players in the past and have gone, I wish these good players could come here and share more knowledge. I have one or two more insights to release next month, but that is about the limit of my knowledge.

SP this month is giving $50 in gas or groceries for $8333 coin in. $83000 in the month is $500 free gas. Enough for most of the year.

The rules say you have to redeem the 8333 points per gift card redemption, so you have to go with the theoretical loss if you are going with the Deuces Wild. You get up to $500 in gas or groceries for the $250 you are theoretically going to lose. Still a good deal to get $250 worth of free stuff.

Checking in the forum this morning from my hotel room.  Good day yesterday.  Nothing for 6 hours. No quad deuces, no royals and only two lousy wild royals.  Left VP in disgust and played slots.  Won all my money back in 30 minutes.  Not surprised.  Luck is luck.  Sorry about getting sidetracked on business ventures.  This is the VP forum not the Finance Channel.  Look, I don't know squat about professional gambling and frankly I don't want to know.  If a VP professional can constantly turn $100,000 into $300,000 in one year playing VP it would surprise me, but anything is possible.   They're called APs because they have an advantage.  I'm not even close.  I'm an AP stock and real estate investor.  The opportunity exists, so I take advantage of it.  It's that simple.I think the problem is some of you guys get too serious about this game.   It's just a game, not the secret of the universe!   I enjoy kidding around and sometimes things get off track.  I don't see any problem with having all VP players on this forum.  The next time you are in the casino look around.  Do you see hundreds of APs lining up to play advantage games?  Not where I play.   Most just want to enjoy VP and have some fun.  There's nothing wrong with telling players how to keep more of their money, but there's no need to try to turn them all into professionals.  Take it easy!

What happens when you win (W2G) with someone else's card?
Or when you go to cash in on a promo or collect a reward?
The places I play ask for ID to match the card and /or have you sign for many of them.

Very hard to find a vp game today where your expected advantage is over 100% without a Royal or AWAK. Maybe they exist in LV, but certainly not in AC. Hope Mickey Crimm is alive and well. I don't check other forums regularly, but he had the best stories of plays he found where he had that advantage. My last 3 visits to AC (Borgata) have been horrible and what was once a healthy profit for the year is now down to just under 3K. Think it is time to slow down for a whiole

time to slow down.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The fact of the matter is that most VP players nationwide are of course down for the year. You are spectacularly lucky to be up $3,000! Believe me, +$500 monthly is plenty healthy. Take the time off to count your blessings!

FAA, Yes I am counting my blessings that after 3 bad sessions, I'm still up 3K for the year. As I've said before, my yearly results always are dependent on whether I'm over or under royaled. I play about 100,00-120,000 hands a year by my rough calcs so 2-3 royals a year are expected. So far this year I have a 2K and a 4K royal, hence positive so far. By the end of the year who knows, but if I quit now.... Nah That won't happen.

A couple of comments and questions
What happens when you win (W2G) with someone else's card?
I worry about this myself.  I occasionally play my wife's free play using her player's club card when she's not with me.  I intentionally never play any game with her card that would call for a W2G as I think they would deny payment.  Am I right about this?
I am hoping for more good players like you guys along with Mr. Dancer to participate in this forum.
Since I have been blocked from posting on the Strategy Forum, I can see no good reason why Mr. Dancer shouldn't return.   I'll be happy to leave him out of any discussions as long as he does the same for me.
Very hard to find a vp game today where your expected advantage is over 100% without a Royal or AWAK.
Some members of this forum and some VP experts talk like positive VP games are everywhere, everyone can play 100% perfect and everyone has a adequate bankroll.   They are fond of calling these players unintelligent or undisciplined for not doing what is required to win when it may not be possible.  All players want to win long term, but most aren't fortunate enough to play in Vegas or wealthy enough to play at a level big enough to find a positive opportunity.  Finances aside, some may have physical limitations as well.    If you can, be grateful.  There is no need to insult or belittle others because they don't have your skill, bankroll or opportunities.  A little more understanding would go a long way in make this forum a better place.

To respond to this concern to the best of my ability based on everything I heard over the years, these type of things are touchy.

I have heard some casinos will revoke club membership with zero tolerance if the player is caught doing such action. Sophisticated corporate casinos such as Caesars Entertainment will detect patterns in card usage. I have also heard some casinos and personally seen once instance that will not pay the player if the card inside does not match the name. Every jackpot is observed by surveillance to see its legitimate, all the way back to where the player puts in a card into a machine (to a point where they know everything). If a person does not have a club card and plays on a machine where someone accidentally left their card in, they will pay the player.

The best thing to do for people who collect other people's club card will be to play for stakes that have no possibility of producing a W2G jackpot, meaning non-progressive quarter denominations. When another person's card has to be utilized, it is best to go to a different machine and use it so that it throws off any pattern checking system.

I think billryan's group is well informed of this.

I tuned into Mr. Dancer's radio podcast last night to hear about the status quo in Vegas video poker scene decline over the last 5 to 7 years. Most of the good players are "retiring" left and right these days. I cannot expect these players to come here anymore. Mr. Dancer is looking to spend more time on other hobbies with the years left in his lifetime rather than studying extra hard to squeeze every last penny of a video poker game; does not mean complete retirement.
