The Worst or Best VP Day?

Post by FloridaPhil »

Here's a fun story to think about.  You're on vacation in Vegas.  You're playing some VP and a few slots.  Things are going OK when you walk by the High Limit Room.   It's really nice in there, so you walk in.  You walk by the VP machines and casually check the odds.  Pretty good, but you would never risk that kind of money so you keep walking.   In the far back of the room is a machine you have heard about but have never seen before.  Holy smokes, it's a $100 machine!   Thoughts of Bob Dancer and big jackpots race through your mind.   Just for fun you take out a crisp new $100 bill and put it in the machine.  It takes it in with a nice thumping sound.   There's no one around and there's nothing but you and the monster machine.    You hit the single coin button and are dealt four to a royal.  Your heart races as you keep all four cards, close your eyes and DEAL!  Up pops the Royal for a $25,000 hand pay.  The girl comes over and smiles.  Of course she says, "Too bad you didn't play max coins!"  You smile and nod as she counts out a stack of 2,500 hundred dollars bills and you walk out. Here's the question.   Are you ready to commit suicide because you missed out on a $400,000 jackpot or are you happy because you are now $25,000 richer?

Odd, isn't it? You claim to be tired of all the discussion about style of play, and then you submit a post like this, which is sure to generate more of it.

And, of course, you had to find a way to insert Bob Dancer's name into it, as well.

That would be 250 hundred dollar bills. Maybe that is why math means nothing to you.

Just trying to get some talk going.  What's wrong with mentioning Bob Dancer?   He's the only person I know who claims to have hit a royal on a $100 machine.  Actually it was his ex wife.    I'm sure he has hit more of them since then. The pseudo name "Bob Dancer" is a public figure.  I don't know him and never met him.   This name is synonymous with math based video poker strategy.  He is the world's expert authority on this strategy.  When I use this name, I am not addressing him as a person.  I am addressing his strategy in general and nothing more.   If you don't want to be exposed to public comment, don't write successful books. You're right, $25,000 is 250 hundreds.  Would you give the money back?

Just curious...Do the thousands of hands you pro-wannabe geniuses play for free on this site get factored into your overall play return/profits???

Aside from lucky contest play, if you do not ONLY play spin and/or magic deal in challenges on this site---then you are absolute hippocrits [big fat liars]/frauds....and NOT advantage players.....

[/quote]That's a riot!    Playing on this website is one of the biggest bargains I have ever seen.  For $8.95 a month, I get to go to the casino every day, compare my results with other players and no one tells me how to play.    I haven't won any real money, but I haven't lost any either.  On top of that, this forum is like going to a comedy club every day.   What's better than that?

I believe Huck Seed hit a royal while playing on a $100.00 denomination machine and this feat has been mentioned here in the forums. To be fair I will also type Bob Dancer's name in this post just to remain unbiased.
