Certainly seems easier than trying to educate them.
Can we do it retroactively?

Let's accept each other's grind. We get killed on the RF. A rather simple conclusion. The comps will be mythical. The emotional fallout will be negative if/when the RF drops in. But not of traumatic levels. Life supersedes LV, AC, et al.

Banning is too good for them. Burn them!
BBQ them. Fricassee them.

Let them play!  Less likely the casino will drop the paytable to make more money.

How dare you attempt to hijack an emotional thread with your pseudo-intellectual reasoning.

They are taking seats away, casinos would lower returns with 10 or 20% max bet. The single coiners also tend to gravitate to better tables. In casinos I've been, actual short coiners are rare to see anyway.

Typical authoritarian/liberal suggestion.

Somehow with their reverse logic they believe it is better to play 5 nickles (max coins) on a 7/5 VP machine (96.14%) rather than a single quarter on a 9/5 VP machine (97.08%).

Let's ban rational logic.

Am I the only person who finds it somewhat peculiar that this thread, with the rather authoritative title "The Myth of Playing 5 Coins in Video poker", was started by a player who admits to being a video poker neophyte?

I'll respond here.

The person is not a newbie, more like a person that is pretending to act stupid to bring down the site's integrity with FP leading the way.

The person goes from asking what the odds of a Full House in a rather annoying fashion to all of a sudden starting a thread about this myth of max coining right after we got done with blabbering on the Recreational forum.

Out of all the well-known casino gambling experts who have a stance to play MAX coins on a video poker game, this person takes the stance of Durango Bill out of all people? All of a sudden this person busts out mathematical calculations that a newbie does not think about.

MarkInCA and billryan already provided great reasoning, but the person acts so defensively. Does it look like a person who is eager to learn and absorb information? Nope. With that attitude you won't be able to learn anything. This person blew their cover and whoever really does think this person is actually a newbie is retarded. Obviously OMT is one of the smartest people on the forum to know better.

All I got to say about the single coin players if they really really cannot afford to play max coins in quarter denomination and do not have the discipline to hold off playing at a casino, they are in more trouble than they think they are.

And now we have FP, who repeatedly denies he is a liar despite the several occasions billryan has pointed out, said he was not going to ever post in the Strategy Forum. Well, that is a lie and this time there need to be consequences. Hence the ulterior motive of this thread.

BillWFord started the thread as a person whose lifelong hobby was probability, but quickly evolved into a former casino employee who claimed no one could beat the casino but poker players and who knew how to deal with card counters.
