STP should be played EXACTLY the same as the single line base game.STP typically adds 0.25% - 0.33% to the return of the game. If it's a decent pay schedule to start with, it's a little better with STP. If it's a crappy pay schedule to begin with, it's still crappy.

Yes, always try and find the best pay tables possible, regardless of game.

Yes, like 9/6 --- except those numbers vary from game to game. For Jacks or Better or Bonus Poker Deluxe, 9/6 is good. For Double Bonus, in most locations, 9/6 is good. For Double Bonus, 9/6 is pretty bad. For Triple Double Bonus, 9/6 isn't great, but it's as good as you get.For Deuces Wild, 9/6 has no meaning whatsoever. You need to invest time in learning these pay schedules for the different games. Good software has it, my "Video Poker for the Intelligent Beginner" lists them all and explains how they are different, and there are other sources as well.It takes a while, but it's worth it if you wish to succeed at this game.

I have never seen 9/6 Bonus Deluxe w/STP. I would love to play it in a casino. I miss 9/6 JoB w/STP at Gold Coast and Blue Chip (Indiana). 8/6 Bonus Deluxe with STP and DSTP is available for quarters at Aria, which is pretty impressive for a Strip casino. Best Double Bonus STP game is 10/6/5 and not 9/7/5. 9/7/5 DB w/STP would be illegal in jurisdictions where the top line pay (10X Royal) must occur more often than 1 in 17,000,000.
I may have a STP/DSTP addiction...
