I was in Vegas about a month ago and had an unexpected lucky streak mainly on two poker machines.

25 cent Triple hand Hyper Bonus Poker:
- Dealt quad queens twice, and quad aces with a kicker in a matter of a couple hours.
- Next day dealt quad 7's twice
- Last day, not dealt but hit quad kings.
All of these were hit with multipliers ranging from 2x - 12x

$1 progressive playing double double bonus poker:
None of these were dealt, but I hit 4 jacks, 4 nines, 4 threes, and got my first royal flush.

Since then I haven't had much luck playing video poker. I mean it's all just a matter of timing, luck, and choosing the right machine to sit at.

Kyleyomama I totally agree sometimes it is the right machine. I tried the same machine three times since without a quad. Still happy to have a great evening playing.

I know I had back-back quads at least once this year. Luckily, one was dealt.

Getting a second quad within 10 hands is also slim. That is why I've never played ShockWave VP.As an added dimension of "entertainment" for my own amusement, whenever I play single line games (whatever the choice, be it, BP, DB, DDB, BPDX)  I always play "Shockwave in my mind" whereby anytime I get a four of a kind, I then count off from 1 to 10 in my head as I play the next ten hands to see if I get another quad and thus, a hypothetical shockwave bonus.....I've never actually caught the bonus during the limited times Ive dabbled with actual shockwave games (the paytables usually stink so its dumb to play this game for real)But HYPOTHETICALLY speaking....In the past four years or so since I started doing this in my head, I have gotten a shockwave equivalent quad only TWICE....which if I was actually playing shockwave this would hardly make up for the horrible game otherwise.

lol.. belittle much, smh.[/QUOTE]Yeah I sometimes become confused as to what Bob's true objective is....Let the giddy be giddy Bob....isn't it in YOUR best interest that people enjoy themselves playing VP regardless of their level of skill and understanding??

What you're so giddy about isn't all that rare.Depending on the game, quads happen about once every 420 hands. That means once every 420 times you get a quad you'll get another one on the very next hand.If you play 630 hands an hour, you'll get a quad once every 1.5 hours on average --- so it will take 280 or so hours of play to get two of them back to back. A lot of players play considerably more than that every year. It's not something that happens to you every day or even every month, but it's hardly a "once in a lifetime" event either.

Bob, a simple congratulations would have sufficed. He was very happy and was sharing his experience.

I'm very happy for him!

I was playing a progressive quarter machine. I hit fours so hit for a hundred dollars. I then hit another quad of eights for $62.50. Good news this happen twice that day. Left the casino up for six hundred dollars. Enjoy having back to back quads twice that evening.

Good for you, wilcoxfun! I hope you get more happy experiences like that!

Just had it happen running free play on 9/6 JoB. Held JJJ and drew J,5. Very next hand held 333 and drew A,3

Too bad you weren't on DDB or TDB for that last one. *wink* I'm still amazed that the only time I remember this happening to me, I was screwing around at McCarran airport.

Yeah, if only we were psychic.

Would've preferred to be on Shockwave Poker though.
