I am a lurker not a poster. However, I just wanted to share this as even I was stunned.

I play mainly in AC. I am a CET 7 Stars player.   Visited Las Vegas two weeks ago. I Stayed at Harrahs

I have stood on the sidelines for years reading the feud between DB and Tedlark. I refused to get involved. I will say to Ted, I think he is the instigator most times. I find it very disturbing that anytime DB posts, there he is with his derogatory response. It does appear he is obsessed with DB. Regardless, I will tell you that this banter between them really does a disservice to those who are trying to enjoy the forum. Ted stayed away for awhile but I guess he couldn't help himself.

DB, I will tell you that up until say a year ago I was also having dismal results at CET, Ballys AC. However, this past year has been significantly better. Many Many handpays. So I still believe there is hope in continuing play at CET.

Back to Vegas. My trip at Harrahs was very successful. Several hand pays. I was playing Double Supertimes .25 level, three lines. Dealt 4 aces with 4x multiplier Caught one kicker total hand pay 3600.00. Same machine 15 minutes latter. Dealt 3 aces, 4x multiplier, Hit one Kicker, another 2k.

Different machine, different day, 1.00 single line, 9 5 DDB -4 aces kicker, 2k.

Now the Airport. Waiting for Jet Blue Flight to return home. Inserted 100.00 7 5 DDB (Ughhhh). Started at 1.00 denomination. Went down to 50.00. Reduced betting to 50 cents. Hit quads. Went back up to 1.00. About 3 hands latter dealt 2 to Royal, hit the deal button and watched slowly as the Royal filled in for 4k. I was totally surprised.

I wish they had rooms at the airport.....lol

I will now retreat back to the sidelines.

Based on your experience do you believe that Harrah's rigged the games during your period of "dismal results" or that the posted pay tables were/are true to form?

Hi CK,
I play predominately at Ballys in AC. So I really cant provide you with an opinion on Harrahs. I will comment on Ballys. I can say in "my opinion" it seemed that the worst pay days were on gift giveaways or dinner events. Of course, it is such a small sample not sure we can really conclude the correlation. As far as the pay tables, I really didn't notice any glaring patterns for me to believe they were rigged. There were visits when everything was simply horrible and then visits when it seemed I would be hitting above average hands. I will say I have had much better success of late playing dollar single line DDB than my past favorite game of Supertimes I am playing much less Supertimes now. This is why I would always read with great interest in what Roveer had to say. I will say as a wrap up, I agree with DB that overall ALL the machines seem tighter than a few years ago. However, as I mentioned, it does appear this past year has been paying as in the past good old days.

Nice hits in Vegas and great Royal draw! McCarran should have some dollar machines at 8/5. Depends on the bank I guess.

Shinbo thank you for sharing. I totally agree if there are gift giveaways or dinner events it is really tight to win. Congrats on the wins!

No wonder I had such poor results at Bally's AC. Every darn weekend, those scoundrels seem to dish out some bait or another to the premium players. I've actually had better luck lately next door. Go figure.

I totally missed this thread/post first time around.....if you are out there "Shinbo", please post some more of your latest experiences in AC.....I'm not 7 stars (never will be either) but I do somehow manage to achieve Diamond status (second tier is where I have stopped the last couple years) despite drastic cut backs (50%-70% fewer trips) on my frequency of visits and play to AC and elsewhere.    The CET Bonus Tier schedules do help a lot if you concentrate what play you do have all at once....also the multiplier days help too.I am not alone in believing that over the past 5 years since CET switched to servers that the likelihood of winning ot breaking even playing VP in AC has become greatly more difficult.   Many other players I know and talk to all agree that something has changed (or "Somethings up") with the play results at the three CET AC properties.    Naturally you can always find someone to say the opposite, and naturally there still are times where you do HIT some really good hands and stretches of hands.   But OVERALL, I have no doubt things are down below what the statistical norm says they should be at.....I hope you are still out there lurking and reading this.....as you must know by now this forum is now without the previous unpleasantness between myself and the other person you mentioned.   That's not to say there are not other people who can stir up shiite, but not in the (as you aptly put it) "obsessive" pointless manner of the previous period of unpleasantness...
