DB being the better person threw himself on the sword. I consider DB a close friend. We are on opposite ends of the political spectrum but still enjoy our time together. Many times he has offered certain individuals on this site a meeting with offers of dinner etc. and his generosity was met with disdain. Two years ago when I offered to buy everyone drinks in AC when my son was on leave DB was the only one who showed up to meet him and thank him for his service, I will never forget that. You really need to get to known someone before passing your self righteous judgments.

First off Jeter, Merry Christmas and hopefully your son is out of harm's way and home for Christmas. May God Bless him for his service.

The majority of the people on the forum don't have the opportunity or desire for a grip and grin. We base our opinions solely on written interactions. For many here, myself included, those interactions with DB have not been pleasant.

Personally, I feel that far right/left personal and political attacks should stay where they belong, around the dining room table, at a big family gathering like Christmas or Festivus. I've found that if you're hosting, it cuts down on the grocery bill and gift list if you can rekindle those by-gone battles just before a holiday. Here not so much.

CK Merry Christmas 🎄 to you too. My son did his 4yrs. and is now home. Tonight will be the first time in 4 years he celebrates The Feast of the Seven Fish with about 25 family and friends.This is his favorite night of the year. You and others need to read between the lines with DB, trust me he is not at all what you think. This latest incident is a perfect example. But it is what it is and like I said he took the high road which others would never do.

Kudos to DB for throwing himself under the bus. I rather wish that he had stood his ground, but I get the logic. And with his AC VP windfall, I would de facto recuse myself for a spell and count my money in peace.

this is so unbelievable.db is not innocent and i am not the bad guy.he knew he was being watched and still continued to press his luck.i am the first to admit that i gave it right back at him but i also told him on more than 1 occasion i was through with him.i guess he would get bored because after a while he would take another shot at me.he had to throw himself under the bus because he knew he was guilty.hopefully he will never turn on you.

   So what if he turns on me or anyone else. Hopefully, most people have the spine not to care what a stranger says on the internet. I don't agree with most of what DB says, but I spent a chunk of my life insuring that people can say what they want.
I'm amazed how thin skinned people can be. Saddened, actually. DB has had running feuds with several members, but none of them felt the need to go full blown diva.
Keep telling yourself that you are the good guy here. I doubt anyone else will.

Doris...it all goes back to my experience with webman many years ago when he booted me for a comparison I made...not even a direct name calling attack like goes on now.
I said no more when I was able to return, but some other male people continued to harass me in just about any post I made, unrelated to my comparison. He did nothing to them. It's a female thing I hate to say, but aren't we females pretty much used to that throughout our lives?
Sad but true.
I'm giving up my gold also for no particular reason when it comes due.
