my findings

Post by stevel96a1 »

a little about myself .Been playing video poker since my wife got me into it, i tried to get her into card counting blackjack but table minimums require somewhere in the neighborhood of 10 grand (true gambling IMHO)  atleast on the east coast of sands pa and atlantic city 6 - 8 deckers anywho my wife loves that stupid triple double bonus game and won a wooping 2,000 started with her first 100 and ended with her first hundred machine read 2100 after her hand pay just 5min of siting but before that trip she managed to lose 400 or 500 prior to her hand pay and she made that Bankroll last for 6 some hours or so before it vanished but right there i saw the power of Video Poker, no other table games have i played roulette baccarat or craps and manage to win 2400 in matter of 2 days (aces and faces managed to win 4 aces playing dollar and 2 royals at ballys ac) just 1 day apart i believe the tickets read 975 and 1023 i only got the 2nd got my wife lost her bankroll to TDB but back to the matter at handat home we have the same game at our finger tips let be Wolf video poker, december 31, or Bobs website i have tried countless systems and ran various sims and always puts me back to the square where i am suppose to be regardless of my varying bets (0.25 - to a number my bank account cannot support) my conclusion of negative games is that each turn is tide to the negative game for example if you were to think of it as this a turn would be considered a brick (  a negative brick) you can change the bricks denomination from say 0.25 to 1$ and along the way in the end you will still have built a negative house its true the card do not recall what happen but its still all tied to the negative game its more about if you got lucky or not and over all you will noti have read Florida Phil's reports and i am fascinated about his statement about you can overcome a negative game by varying your bets if someone can give me a link to his system id be thankful otherwise i am stuck thinking either flat betting or positive progression(move up to .25 to 50 on a royal and .50 to dollar on next royal he said hes gotten 4 royals within 1 day)i wonder if he could have gotten 1k, 2k, 4k, and 8k$ if he had used a pos system

Sadly, Phil's system works best when you play it on four machines simultaneously.
Playing it on only one machine reduces the efficiency by over 75 percent, making it useless for us mere mortals.

i was hoping for a positive and math reply not a stupid onei do believe Phil, he has more knowledge and experience than any other player on here but what has more truth and fact here over anywhere is history and math what has happened in the past let be one year or ten is a solid sample size imo

Thank you. That certainly made me smile. It's a rare individual that can recognize the math behind Phil's teachings, let alone implement them. Most people are still hung up on the math they earned in high school.

have read Florida Phil's reports and i am fascinated about his statement about you can overcome a negative game by varying your bet He may have said that at one time, but I do not think he believes that now.

statement about you can overcome a negative game by varying your betsYou can't. In VP, the house edge is the same on every bet you make, regardless of what order you make them in, or what reason you choose to change them, or whether you spread them out on different machines or different sessions or wear a different hat.

House edge changes on different machines, different games and sometimes on different denominations.
On most machines, house edge is greatly reduced by betting five coins instead of less.
Varying your bets LOWERS your expected winnings by raising the houses edge. All varying your bets does is lower your results.
