Progressive VP Variance

Post by FAA »

My bank of six progressive 9/6 JOB quarter machines has been very tight for the past two years. I have read elsewhere that the variance on these is too high. Any advice?

Wait until it’s positive, get a team together, and take it down.

It's never positive. Even $1,100 is rare.

If it is rarely positive, doesn't that mean it's hit fairly often?

Are you talking about the 6 terminals of 9/6 JOB in Caesars AC? Yeah, I have not seen them above 1100 in A very very VARY long time... granted I have only been there once so far in 2018 for 3 days, and last year I think I was there 5 visits total, 15 days altogether....that bank hits royals frequently but not all the other hands (quads, sfs, full boats etc.).

Could be very slow meters. He'd have to report that.

In theory, I should be happy that it hits fairly often. But unless you are the beneficiary, you truly lose money hand over fist. A voracious appetite.

I think you should be happy that it's 9/6 JoB quarters. I'm used to seeing 7/5 or 6/5 JoB quarters and lower denoms. With a progressive attached to it to boot? Whoo-aa!

It's usually a $5- $50 bonus. But I must find the one machine there that actually permits play. Russian roulette bank.

When Caesars is involved, they love to create slow as hell progressives (often in the 0.05-0.1% range). I really don't get why they do it. Last trip to Vegas, I saw a lady at Paris get a dollar progressive Royal (by holding Ace Ten suited!!!) on 9/5 DDB. The royal value was $4016...

Back on topic, if the royal is so close to the base value, the expected variance isn't much different than regular 9/6 JoB.
