Is the Borgata parking garage safe?   How about Harrahs?  We don't plan to be walking around at night and certainly won't be visiting any residential neighborhoods.

I never had a problem on the boardwalk. I do recommend only walking it during the day. The garages are safe too. There was one incident in the news about a year ago but that isn't normal.

I was propositioned by a lady of the evening in broad daylight outside Tropicana once. She looked horrible to boot.

What was the proposition FAA? She'd wash your car for $5.00? Walk your poodle for $10.00?

Is a "lady of the evening" still considered a "lady of the evening" when it's broad daylight?

I personally have had more issues in Newark than Atlantic City.

We grew up in Miami where there are places you don't want to go and if you do you may never be seen again.  Casino security is usually pretty good.    I have never had a problem in any casino parking lot.   I've been nervous a few times, but nothing serious.   I once had show tickets stolen out of my jacket in Vegas.  They were white paper and looked like slot machine tickets.   The security people at NY NY were very nice.  They looked on the video, found where the person had stashed our tickets and gave them back to us.   Florida has it's share of panhandlers, especially in the winter.  Other than cleaning my windshield uninvited, they are not dangerous.   The Orlando police used to buy drifters a bus ticket to Miami so visitors wouldn't see them.  Miami complained, so now they live in the park.  We have a rental car in AC, so we won't be walking around.   Old people like us go to bed early, so no night stalking.   I expect to be glued to a video poker machine unless I hit a royal in the first 10 minutes.

Well, that means a ton of hands. I'll dive into the Atlantic if you hit. I've long pledged to do it for myself. The dry streak has kept me on dry land.

Update on the 99 percent machines in the wind casino. The newer ones in the center of the wind with the big buttons are horribly maintained. I would stay away from them. Not only do the buttons or machines not work, sometimes between the time you hold a card and hit deal which could be a split second, your hold disappears. Wish I had a video. They are IGT and seem very cheaply made at least the buttons seem to be that way. The older machines are much better even with the smaller buttons. There are two rows of the ones to stay away from. Back to back. There are a the 2 better rows across from the cashier that have the older machines.
