Right. There is no "advantage play" strategy to a negative pay table. There is a "best hold" which is the best you can do, but it's not advantage play unless you have an edge (with comps etc)

Phil, there are some 99% plus games at Borgata. There used to be a lot more, but there still are some. 9/6 JOB at a row of slant tops between Amphora Lounge and Water Club access. 9/5 Super Double Bonus on a row of 4 Game Kings near Buffet and Box office.
If you use Advantage Play strategy on $5 games in this casino, you will lose far more than if you play quarters.  It doesn't take a genius to figure that out.

I see Phil saying this over and over again and I'm always confused. There isn't some sort of mystical advantage play 'strategy' that you use to magically win at games that others would lose at. If the payouts at the $5 games at Biloxi are that horrible, the Advantage Player strategy would likely be to just not play at all, unless there were some promotion or other extras that would push the payouts to healthily above 100%.
This is absolutely right. If marketing doesn't push games above 100%, people like Bob simply won't play.   Then Phil says
, that's not an acceptable answer because not playing is not an acceptable option for him, so he just can't believe that anyone can make long term profit on the game. Strict discipline in only playing games that return 100% or more after promos/marketing offers is a huge key for being profitable at VP long term. You don't even need to have a huge IQ for that, just be well-disciplined (and living in Vegas may also help). And I know my IQ is higher than my discipline!

But his wife is hot on 97.68% Deuces, who has time to bother with that? Haha. And also VPFree2 says there are quarter 9/6 JoB on the left side of the B Bar. Unfortunately zero NSUD or Airport Dueces at Borgata.

We have not found a single quarter VP game at the Borgata over 98%. Will keep looking. We think we discovered how they are rigging the VP in AC. Will discuss later.

That's the best part - Phil not only regularly plays <100% games, but also regularly admits to making sub-optimal plays, and then in the same breath he talks about being suspicious of rigged machines and such because of losses. C'mon.

Phil really is a casino's dream kind of player though - the type who thinks that it doesn't matter really whether you play a 95% game or a 101% game, or what kinds of strategy variations you do, that your results are all up to random chance so everyone has the same shot at being a winner.

Phil, They were there last week. There is a bank of slant tops as you walk from the Amphora Lounge toward the Water Club corridor, or toward the bathrooms. They are usually busy so maybe you don't see an open machine. They have 9/6 JOB for .25, .50 and 1.00. Also 4 Game Kings with 99.69 SDB a few rows in from the Buffet and box office. They also have a good deuces bonus game. These games are also at the B Bar. CC

Phil, As you can probably figure out, I'm still at my office. Sometimes tough to get down during the week. Fridays are usually easier.

The pay schedule is a major part of the equation, but not the only part.If you get big enough cash back, mailers, and other cash-equivalent goodies, there can definitely be advantage play on pay tables that return less than 100%.
