The only truly interesting thing divulged in the entire thread so far is this completely baffling detail about Hardrock casino NOT dispensing coins when you cash out your tickets....is this policy corporate wide? What on Earth is their reason for this....are you supposed to take your change tickets to the cashier? Or consolidate them by feeding them into the cash out machine? How can this be allowed by state regulations because this is essentially cheating people out of money...?

I would assume a real cashier would give you the change if you desired. I do expect more casinos to do this in the future. Reloading coins in cashout machines is against the casino's best interest in terms of labor costs.

[/QUOTE]

LoL! Oh man this is just getting absurd with these friggin pathetically greedy, unimaginative corporation run casinos that just keep chipping away at anything they can remove from the experience that will move the bottom line even miniscule amounts!

I'm serious, what's next? In the case of the cash out machines no longer dispensing coins because it's "too labor intensive", how did they rationalize this latest step into moral Oblivion? How much indeed WAS it costing them, in their eyes, to keep the machines loaded with actual hard currency??

Why even have the machines at all then? Why not go back to just lines at the cage, but only have a couple actual people at a time ready to take peoples' tickets...the lines will grow and grow, people will get frustrated and fed up and go back to the vp/slot machines and keep playing....oh yeah! That'll really help the bottom line...for a month or two anyway, lol.

Of course I'm being satirical, but it's not that far out...this mentality is just moronic. They have to load the machines anyway with bills so what the hell? How much More costly is it plopping several hundred dollars at a time in coins in those things? Why not simply try rounding up or down to the nearest dollar (assuming it really is that big of a deal?)

And lastly, I ask again....how can they get away with stuff like this with the various state agencies which are supposed to be, at least somewhat, looking out for their citizens' interests right after their own interests???

If the hardrock AC pulls this crap, you know where I'm heading!!!

Well said. But undergoing the process of collecting all those and turning them into more practical denominations might be a full time job too..lol

The Florida Hard Rock casino ticket redemption machines do not dispense coins. They give you a white ticket instead of the coins.  The cashiers do give coins.   Many players asked what the casino does with the uncashed change tickets.  The casino says they give it to charity.I do not bother to cash in my change tickets.  I leave them in the machine.  My wife collects hers and cashes them all together at the end of the day.   I like doing nice things for people I don't know.   If I see an elderly person playing single coin quarters, I have given them my left over tickets on many occasions.  I have had people do that for me in return.  Back when I played dollar VP, I tipped $100 for a $4,000 hand pay.  I still tip a dollar for the girl at the buffet.   I guess that puts me in line with Vegas APs.

DB reminds me of online comments complaining that an article is worthless, but they not only clicked on the click bait but proceed to comment! SMH. "Unreadable!" Indeed.

We, or maybe just myself, obsess about VP choices that are worth a fraction of a cent. Therefore, I'm not going to throw many cents worth of tickets on the floor.

Some posters are more insightful than others ... some are merely "inciteful."

And when those "inciteful" posters post here, they are "insiteful."

I've read that quads come on AVERAGE every half hour in job. That has been my experience on AVERAGE.
