Congrats on the Royal!

But I think WVRadar is misusing "full pay" here. "Full Pay" Deuces Wild is ILLEGAL in Pennsylvania. PA law does not allow games with long-term returns over 100%. Perhaps he meant "best return" as opposed to "full pay." I did find some 16/10/4 DW game kings here awhile back but the paytables were adjusted the next visit to 15/9/4. I don't know anything about a law prohibiting return but I have yet to find any machines with 100% return without incentives.

The only "full pay" (100% plus) VP games without incentives I have ever seen were at the Red Rock in Vegas.  The games were all quarter games and clearly marked.   I'm sure there are others.    I know some of our Vegas members play full pay deuces and 10/6 DDB. Like all VP games, it is still possible to lose.I once spent a week playing NSU deuces (99.7%) in Reno.  One of the worst weeks I've ever had.  We drove over to Tahoe and I hit a royal flush on a 97% game.  It figures... Playing short coin is risky business.  If the games you are playing are less than 98% and you don't care about comps, my feeling is you will most likely  lose more money long term playing max coins.  The problem is you will be beating yourself up when a royal occurs and it will.  Heaven forbid you hit more than one royal in a short period of time because you will want to jump off the nearest bridge.  Staying with max coins is the best choice for most players.   If you want to play a lot of VP cheap, playing single coin will deliver on that promise.   Just be ready for the inevitable disappointment.

99.54% has been most abysmal for me. I guess I'll just sit tight and wait to reignite my VP relationship at Hard Rock AC. They damn well better match prevailing city pay tables.

Over the years I have never seen one iota of correlation between game odds and results.   I'm not posting this to be controversial.  If you never play negative VP, how would you know?  When your advantage is gauged in tenths of a percent, one rare hand can be the difference between profit and loss.  However, if someone sincerely believes having a numerical advantage guarantees them a profit and it keeps them in the game, that's a good thing.  You can't win if you don't try.I wouldn't hold out hoping the new AC Hard Rock will start offering positive games any time soon.  I do think they will have machines that work and enough people to keep them working.  If they match the Florida game odds, I think you will be pleased.   The dollar odds in Florida are decent for the East Coast.  Does anyone know why the State of Pennsylvania would outlaw positive VP games?  Seems odd...

That's another thing! Caesars machines are pretty beat up at this point. Sticky and cracked buttons. I've also noticed the phantom hold phenomenon last time, where a held card is suddenly not held. Brand new machines will be a pleasure. I'm not expecting any great tables. Just match AC JOB and BP and I'll be a customer. Bonus Benefit: I will escape the CW hags near the JOB bank! What a constant stress. Ready to rock and roll.

You think that's bad. When West Virginia passed their gaming laws they limited payback to 95%. That is why I play at The Meadows.
When West Virginia passed their gaming laws they limited payback to 95%.
Do you think they did this to discourage professional players?   Maybe they want to make sure the casino makes money?   I can see no good reason why a State would care what a private business offers their customers.

I think it's a matter of greed. West Virginia retains 50% of the net produced by each machine. Also, when the law was enacted they allowed small businesses and fraternal organizations to have them. In the small city near me there are over 180 establishments that have them.

Even at the exorbitant rate West Virginia charges, the machines are the only thing keeping a lot of the businesses running. As a matter of fact, if not for the machines our VFW would have shut down long ago. As the Korean and Vietnam veterans are dying out, we just don't get the young guys to replace them.

West Virginia has always lagged behind in the national economy and a large percentage of our young people have left the area to find work.
