2500 Payout on Full Coin JorB Royal

Post by WVRadar »

Just used the Wizard of Odds calculator to determine the difference in payback when using the video poker machine I prefer at The Meadows.

9/6 Jacks or Better has a payout 2500 credits for a full coin Royal, 98.87 versus 99.54 on machines that pay 4000 credits for a full coin Royal Flush.

I thought the difference would me much more than this.

I hit a 2500 coin 9/6 Jacks or Better Royal last year In Wendover Nevada.  Boy was I pissed.   It cured me of not checking the entire table before I play.

This truly is the first time I have ever heard of a Max bet VP royal only paying 2500 coins. Unreal, that the casinos are now headed in this latest cynical direction regarding the game this forum, and these players are devoted to mastering. I'm truly just about done with all aspects of all casinos, there is only so much hypocrisy and blatant greed I can take.

By the end of this summer, once I've used up any remaining comp dollars and the trickleof freebies has dried up as I refuse to put anymore of my own funds into casinos, I will only show up at casinos for the occasional, exceptional value holdem poker tournament.

I just listened to a House of Cards radio show with Jean Scott guest. She said a locals Vegas casino made the same diminished Royal change.

Mad just because of the 2500 RF?! Cry me a river. Try 2.25 years without a RF?

If you look at the full line for the royal, it goes 500/1000/1500/2000/2500 instead of the normal 250/500/750/1000/4000. These you can single coin and not get punished.

The machines my wife plays at turtle creek are 250/500/750/1000/2500 not 500/1000/1500/2000/2500.

Great. Let's get them in AC. Just to get me off the Progressive machines with cracked, sticky buttons and holds that are unreliable.

It is, nevertheless, in my opinion, quite significant. The casino edge on the game has increased from 0.46% to 1.13%. So, the casino has increased its take on the game by a factor of just under 2.5.
