its not about $$$ money you won or lostNot on a daily, weekly or perhaps even a monthly basis, no.but its more about after 1/2 million to 3million hands/turns if you have a - or + result?Yes. For an advantage player, it's about your result in the long run. However long that might be. It's different for every game and every situation and I have shown how to calculate it. For some games, like blackjack, it's less than millions of hands. VP has large variance, so it takes a bit longer.so edge comes first and 2nd comes bankroll? both are worthless with each other?
Edge and variance together will tell you how much bankroll you need for a given amount of risk or, conversely, how much risk you have with your existing bankroll. And when I'm talking about bankroll, I'm not talking about how much you bring to the casino with you on a given day, or on a given trip. It sucks to lose those, but it's not the end of your playing career. I'm talking about how much you can lose before you must give up playing all together. Your bankroll is your buffer for bad variance (bad luck really). It allows you to survive a possible initial downturn on your way to the long run. Without an adequate bankroll for the games and situations you're playing, you could end up unable to make it to the long run. It's an unfortunate reality of AP is that you already need to have money in order to make money.
