border question

Post by notes1 »

skip all the distractions, name calling and diversions, the question is simple;

do americans want open borders? no restrictions, other the not allowing criminals.

is this really what folks want?

Do other countries have such porous borders? Then why should we?

Exactly, could one of my liberal friends please explain this obsession with illegal immigrants. It really shouldn’t warrant all this discord.

my guess is you already know the answer why liberals want open borders and mass immigration, votes/power. they can't sell their agenda to much of america, so it is easier to import votes. and equally important, those imported voters need to be poor and in need of government assistance.
Exactly, could one of my liberal friends please explain this obsession with illegal immigrants. It really shouldn’t warrant all this discord.
People, when faced with a question or issue that involves a lot of different complex factors and influencers and that contains an element of morality, will always, ALWAYS try to find a simple solution or a simple ideal, or even a single person or individual, to focus upon and assuage their anxiety and feelings about that complex issue at hand.    You just did it in a classic manner.There already are, in the USA, significantly MORE Democrats (or people with Democratic leanings and tendencies) than so-called Republicans as represented by the modern day manifestation of the Republican Party (which is NOT any longer a 'Conservative"  party).     The reason (not the only reason but a big reason) republicans have a majority in the house and senate is due to two very seldom referenced phenomena:   Gerrymandering   and the fact that Republican Voters are indeed MORE zealous and active in their voting habits than democrats.   These two things are incontrovertible truths.You notion that the democrats are somehow, in someway involved in some sort of general "conspiracy" or action to flood the country with Illegals from Central AMerica in order to "recruit" them into the ranks of voters to give them more clout and a majority is so inane, preposterous and stupid I find it hard to believe you are actually serious......you must be making some sort of sarcastic joke or pun.......Explain in exact detail how a "illegal" person either successfully sneaking into the country, or being caught & detained and then subsequently going through the WHOLE process of being eventually admitted and naturalized (assuming they are not ultimately deported which has been happening for decades thoughout ALL administrations) somehow ends up "SWELLING" the ranks of democratic voters?  Don't just blow it off......answer meEdited to add:   Trump  LOST the popular vote by a significant amount, and this doesn't take into account a  LOT of democrats did not vote because of the uninspiring and blah-zay nature of Hillary Clinton.   That's just the tip of the iceberg for the point I'm making here.....
