Good story, but how do you know this was true???

While there more people were hitting hand pays on slots and VP.

The way I read the story, you're the ONLY one around you that got a W2-G! That's what really matters. EVERYONE had to be handpaid thanks to a server error with the TITO system. It's a nightmare scenario for the casino when it happens, and as a player, it's to your benefit to NOT hit the cash out button in that scenario unless you really, really, really, really, really want to quit because you'll end up being forced to wait (possibly hours) be hand paid whatever your balance in the machine was too.

Lucky for you, you got a hand where you would be forced to be handpaid regardless. Now a question I have is, after they paid you the $1920 W2G, did you just play down the remaining $178? Did you try to cash that out? Did it give you an actual tito if you did cash out? That would have been very lucky if so because in this scenario, I would expect your machine to lock up for any cash out amount too!

Aren’t they building resorts world in Vegas?

Yes, it's still under construction. Their company uses Trump's method of naming buildings.

I did not hit cash out. After a bit at nickels, which increased my credits still, I bumped up the demon to 25 cents for the hell of it. Lasted a while but eventually busted. When they gave the gentleman to my left his notes the women said to him "This is for the jackpot and this one is for the credits left on the machine." The guy's on the slots down to the left were definitely pretty excited and celebrating with drinks. These were $1 machines so not to hard to hit a taxable I would think. The others around were also quite excited when there machines locked up but I suppose they very well could of just hit a "GOOD ONE" but not a Jackpot and tried to cash out causing the freeze. Keep in mind I was either playing or waiting and NOT moving from my game while this was all transpiring so I didn't go over and inspect each machine. You seem to be somewhat knowledgeable about this stuff so you may be right but none the less people were hitting and doing well and that is not normally what I see or experience there on a normal visit. Also most of the people had already left before this first Hand pay guy (Different Uniform) and the suits showed up finally taking control of the situation. Being it was late on a Sunday there were not many people there so it was odd to see such a high percentage of people apparently doing well.

The more I thought about it the more I believe Vman hit the nail on the head. I tried to remember if I noticed any of the other people being attended to being handed a W2G. I did not. I do know the one was a jackpot due to the overheard conversation noted above. The happy slot players as well as others could have also just racked up a good amount of credits w/o an actual "Jackpot". I was reminded while playing last night how excited people get over smaller wins and good runs.
All it took was someone with more knowledge and a different perspective to pick out the clue/key to an explanation. The W2G. In my own excitement from hitting and frustration with the process at the time of the actual events my view was clouded. Yes I can be happy and mad at the same time. I think it shows how our emotions can distort our observations and lead us to see things that may not be there. Usually happens more often when we are losing.
It was still a cool night and from my own play I can still say the game was playing much better than I had experienced there before. Even without the Aces. Just a good night apparently.
Thanks for raining on my parade and fortifying my faith in the games Vman. Now I'm Happy and Sad at the same time.

I didn't mean to sour your great night. I just didn't get the initial impression that the other players got W2Gs in your story. Maybe they did. But everyone had to be handpaid that night obviously regardless whether they won big or not.

I would have faith in these games since they have a 7/5 DDB paytable. The paytable will make nice money for the casino over time. But I'm sure it will be much less than the NY government hopes it is though. Casinos are nearly everywhere now.

Thinking of going to Cincinnati tomorrow. Another "newish" casino jurisdiction. At least it's mostly non-smoking!
