OK, So here is the story.
First off I am in no way offering this as any proof of game rigging/manipulation or whatever. It is merely an interesting observation of events which more than likely were just a coincidence. A fortunate and/or lucky coincidence for myself and others this past Sunday night. But it does offer food for thought for those who strongly accept the possibility of server based games being manipulated.

So after a busy week and weekend with no "Me time" I decide to sneak in a bit before the new week begins Monday. I make the hour trip to the casino to claim my FP and bring $200 cash. Once there and parking the car I exit my vehicle. That's when it happens. Sudden darkness and instant quiet as the blaring music comes to a halt. Hmmm must be a Sunday promo of musical chairs or something. No, now I am instantly pissed. A wasted trip and a perfect topper to a long stressful week and start of the next at the same time. In need of a rest room I decide to go inside because a few emergency lights have now come on and figure the main power might come back while I take care of that. Entering the building it is an almost eerie feeling. Enter the rest room and there are no back up lights at all. Just the glow of one guys cellphone. As I'm at the urinal I notice to my left a man on a scooter chair. He is fumbling around trying to get it going facing away from me toward the accessible stall at the end. Just as I finish, thankfully, he gets it going. In Reverse!! I thrust myself back against the stall door behind me as he scoots past barely missing me and flies around the corner into the darkness. I step out from behind the wall heading for the sinks and here he comes straight at me. I step back and once again avoid getting run down. Enough residual water pressure in the pipes for a quick wash and out I go.
So, I look down the corridor and notice a bright glow and can here machines in the casino. I walk down and sure enough the games are still on and playing! It looks so cool with no other lights on. I think how strange yet predictable that the machines take priority and are using backup power while the entire hotel is dark. Well, lets play then!!
Now, here is where it gets good. I have played here 5 or 6 times now. I have had mostly dismal results but have had a couple sessions that allowed me to play for a while before busting. I have never seen anyone get a hand pay before even when there for a few hours. I sit down at a machine but before I put any money in I notice the people around me are just talking and not actually playing. There are 5 in my immediate vicinity. I look and listen more closely and find they are all waiting for a pay out with their screens locked saying "Call Attendant". Another person sits at a slot and begins to play. Ok, the machines are working. I put my card in. A message comes up on the side of the screen that says Server Down. The message disappears and it returns to full screen game mode. Can't use FP on VP anyway so in goes $100. Good, credits register and I can play. Now, as I begin to play slot techs start coming and frantically trying to address these people around me. They can not pay them they say because the computers are all down and don't know what to do. They are freaking out and the players are getting upset. Some are offering them hand written IOU's and others are suggesting maybe the players should take pictures of the screens and keep that as proof along with the notes for when the return for after power comes back. A women 2 machine's from me quickly says, "That's ridiculous, Anyone can sit here after I leave and take the same picture and write a note or call a different tech over". It was crazy. Another gentleman, 4 machines down, after first refusing finally accepted the note and left. Two guys at slots just to my left took turns waiting at their machines until someone brought them money.
All this time I'm just playing along and to my surprise my credits are steadily climbing. This is over an hour or mores time mind you. The game is playing good. I am actually turning 3oak's into FH's and quads on at least 1 of 10 hands. Straight's are coming. Job's from garbage tosses etc. I go up over $200 and then the pictured ACES are dealt!!! You see the result above. So now I join the waiting game. The first person who's attention I get actually questions weather I really got the hit or if it just was on the screen. I flipped and told them to watch there cameras and to ask anyone of the people around me waiting how long I've been here playing. 1 of the guy's at the slots says he saw me hit it. Thank You. She walks away in a hurry with another player who came over and grabs her saying she hit again. Doesn't say a word to me, just walks off with her. Now I'm pissed but I'm not leaving the machine. I look up at the cameras so whoever may be watching can see my disgust. An actual "Attendant", not slot tech, the first of his kind I have ever seen there suddenly comes from nowhere heading straight for me asking me If I need his assistance. I point to the screen and he says "Did you get this or did it just pop up?" I said "What are you talking about? Yes, I hit this about a half an hour ago and have been waiting." He said ok opened it up checked some things and said he would be back after taking my personal info.
While waiting for him a group of suits and techs show up. They are asking me about the the jackpots on the machines to my right and who hit them. I told them about the earlier goings on with hand written notes and photos etc. They asked if I knew any names and such and I said no. They are freaking out and calling on radio's shouting out machine #'s etc. They finally just shut those machines down. The guy comes back with my money and asks for my SS#. He types it onto the screen of his tablet and up pops my mugshot. He tells me to sign the screen with my finger, hands me the W2G and asks for an open hand. Finally!! He apologized multiple times for the inconvenience throughout the process, and the time from his first approach until money in my hand was about 15 minutes. The only one with a clue it seems. I gave him $20. I played a little longer but needed to go. It was after 1:00am. What a crazy night!! You really needed to be there to appreciate what it was like. I tried but can't really put into words the chaos. While there more people were hitting hand pays on slots and VP. As I said earlier I had never witnessed a hand pay there on my previous visits. Coincidence?? I dunno
